Whatever you do, DO NOT GO IN THIS HOTEL. I NEVER saw a hotel this FILTHY : the bedsheets had brown (!!!) and grey spots EVERYWHERE, the ground was oily and full of unidentified drops, the nightstands and the desk had spots of the predecessor clients, and we found toothpaste in the shower. Everything looked like it had NOT BEEN CLEAN after the last client. We even tried another room and it was THE SAME !!!
According to other reviews, we are not the first to remark the lack of hygiene of this place. YOU CAN FIND WAY BETTER FOR WAY CHEAPER ELSEWHERE. This place is not worth neither your time, your money, or a night of your sleep.
Here is what happen : When we arrived in the room, we first notice a large area where the ground was oily, near the coffee table area (I did not take picture of that). As oily as I could not set down my foot without sliding. We called the reception, and they came immediately cleaning, admitting that this was not okay.
But that’s when we started to take a closer look, and there were many spots, traces of drops of something, as well as other oily areas. I even found a spot of toothpaste in the shower, and the shower pipes where not clean either. And on the nightstands and desk, there were traces of something non determined, clearly a sign that IT HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED after the last guests.
But the WORST was when I went to bed, and I saw many grey traces and spots ON THE BEDSHEETS. That was the last straw.
We asked to change rooms, and the staff gave us another key very quickly, without discussion, almost as if they were used to this kind of complaint. Unfortunately, the second room was no better. The EXACT SAME PROBLEM were there: stained sheets, dirty shower, greasy floors. Even though this “upgrade” meant we had more beds, I felt completely UNCOMFORTABLE and UNSAFE staying there. If it hadn’t already been 1 a.m., I would have LEFT immediately.
The next day, I asked the hotel for a commercial gesture considering the state of the rooms. Their only answer was to propose an upgrade for my “next stay.” But there will never be a next stay, and I strongly advise not...
Read moreHere is my review . I got this booking. From the website from booking.com and they provide me a free room upgrade to an executive suite which surprised me.
The room is big and spacious , got the bathtub and take a good hot bath. And the tv have many channels to see.
The location is near Kaohsiung Train Station and have quite a variety of choice for public transport, and it is a walking distance to Liuhe night market who will like to drop by there to have a bite.
It is also a walking distance to a 7-11 which is convenient for people who like to make a small purchase for essential.
They even provide a gym and breakfast buffet for people who like to eat at hotel.
What I didn't like is, The breakfast choice is limited and there is not much selection available for people to choose. The gym facilities is kind of rundown and the treadmill seem to be not able to run safely due to the unstable track. The gym opening hour is 9.30am to 9pm which is kinda of odd as usually people prefer to gym in the morning before breakfast when we are travelling. Unwilling service, we request a late checkout for 15 mins but the staff ask if late checkout must pay another 800ntd for an hour extension and the price is...
Read moreI visited the Bluefin Hotel in Kaoshiung last month during a self-organsierd tour with 20 people. The hotel is quite convenient in terms of location, not too far from subway (10 min walk), not too far from most places and is only two blocks from the famous night market. The hotel must have been recently renovated, decor is quite modern, room is cozy, not bad, but there is only ONE electric socket in the whole room!! Bring your own entension panel if you want to charge up your phone, camera, ipad, ..., etc at the same time. I brought one, so I was fine!!!! Same as most hotels here, Wifi is very weak. Breakfast was acceptable, oh, limited English here. I will come back to this place again if i...
