烏來輕井澤溫泉旅館 Wulai Karuizawa Hot Spring Resort — Hotel in New Taipei

The hotel is situated very near to the Old Street, which means very convenient to walk around to do some shopping for local products. There is a convenient shop across the street but closes at 10pm. And there is also a police post beside the convenient shop! The rooms serve its purpose. They are clean and there’s a big screen tv with YouTube and other tv channels though many movies are on a pay-per-view basis. Inside each room there is a bath for soaking too! But they do have a big area for public use or for friends who want to soak in the hot water together. Mini fridge and kettle are provided in each room. Breakfast is from 8-10am. Basic fare like scrambled eggs, fried noodles, fries, chicken nuggets, soup and bread to fill your hungry stomach. Some rooms have nice scenic view of the mountain and river. Ms. Lan and the female employee who checked us in are excellent, and the room was clean and tidy.

The location of the hotel is also very convenient as it is easily accessible by bus and there is a bus stop nearby. Additionally, for those who drive, there is ample parking space in front of the hotel.

During our stay, we enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hotel room, and Ms. Lan kindly offered us some delicious fruit. We appreciated her thoughtfulness and hospitality.

We stumbled upon this place upon recommendation to take a dip in the public bath, and to say the least it was an experience. It was a cold rainy day and the bath was a great choice, but after the bath we got to hang around the lobby with the extremely friendly staff who treated us with drinks and snacks. It was a perfect end to the long day in wulai, and perfect start to the evening. The outdoor deck area was amazing with nice views of the river....
