Short review: Would recommend it. Friendly & helpful lady at the counter went the extra mile to give us directions and help us when we ran into some door trouble after hours. Our room with the private hot spring bath and large windows overlooking the mountains was simple but really nice.
Long review: It was a tough walk from the Wu Lai bus terminal with our luggage, would recommend taking bus 849 from Xin Dian Station and call a cab from the bus terminal instead (uberX if you are feeling lucky, if not, call the local taxi hotline—ask courier station for this number if needed)
But if you're just carrying backpacks, it should be okay to walk from the Wu Lai bus terminal to the Courier Station (pro tip: take the stairs cutting through the hills while going to and fro the hotel.)
The man and lady at the front desk were very accommodating using language applications to overcome language barriers. They had maps and guides in various languages and even cut fresh fruit and gave us refreshments and postcards while we waited for our cab (which she helped to book) to leave. We were stuck at one point in the middle of the night outside the hotel through our own fault, but the lady still answered the phone and helped us get in.
The room was decently clean, no bugs or strange stains. The private hot springs bath in the room worked as expected and was a joy to use whenever we wanted. The early morning view from the windows was a nice start to the day (the misty mountains were nice to look at). Bus 849 to the main city was cheap and frequent enough for a day trip.
Only real drawback is the 15-20 minute walk to the main Wu Lai street, but it's well worth the price considering everything else. My partner and I enjoyed our stay...

I left my half finished bubble tea on the table to go for my shower and what greeted me was an army of ants 30min later. Had to throw that away and move my things away from the table. Next morning found that the ants have also gotten to a tied unopened packet of popcorn from the theme park yesterday, tucked away in a tote bag. In the end had to throw away many of the children's snacks. Is not the type of standard you expect from a hospitality provider. During breakfast, was told they do not provide butter for bread cos locals dun eat beef.... does that imply the hotel mainly caters to locals but...
Read moreHotel is in a good location with good views over Wulai township. A family mart is located next door for snacks etc. The only problem is it is a 15 minute walk from the old street up a big hill. We didn't mind this because we are fitness junkies but for the unfit this would be a major problem. ||Room was clean and the private hot spa was great. Hot water seemed hit and miss but it was crazy hot weather so this wasn't really a problem either. ||Breakfast was okay but i think we were the only guests when we stayed so the full selection was not available. ||Overall, satisfactory for the price and...
