Managed to secure this hotel stay through Gomaji deal, at a package price of NT2188. We reach Wulai by bus early at around 11 am but the check-in is strictly after 3, so we have to deposit our luggage at a nearby police post, thanks to the arrangement made by the hotel staff. There is no luggage deposit service in Wulai. At 3 pm, as arranged by the hotel, there is a transfer from Wulai bus station to the hotel. ||||The hotel location is rather far from Wulai Old Street. My guess is around 30 mins walk down hill from hotel to Wulai Old Street. But one can imagine going back to hotel will be walking on up hill. Since we have tour around Wulai Old Street in the afternoon, we have no intention to go back at night. And one of our objectives is to enjoy the hotspring in the hotel. ||||They do not have public pool like those onsen in Japan, rather they provide big bath tubs in individual hotel rooms. The tubs looks clean and is big enough to have 4 pax sitting inside. However, I am unsure whether the water is really hotspring water or is it just normal hot water. I have been to onsen in Japan and I can see the difference. I may be wrong but I feel like it is just normal hot water. Nonetheless, soaking myself in the water is truly relaxing after a long day walk. ||||The package comes with dinner set in the hotel restaurant (3 dishes + 1 soup). The dinner taste good and we like it. Morning breakfast was normal with some vegetables, sausages, bacon, eggs and porridge. They also serve cereal...

Read moreAs usual, have to take a train down south to Xindian station and take bus 1072 up to Wulai old street. It was drizzling lightly when we alighted from the bus after 45 mins, but we took a slow stroll and enjoyed the food along the street. At the end of the street, we crossed the small bridge and around at the 'base' whereby the receptionist will call our host and the host will drive down to pick us up to the hotel. ||||Checked in around 4pm though they said after 6pm; our room was in the block next to the hotel. It is a new building, they expanded and the new rooms come with two tubs. One for Hot water and one for cold water; so we can alternate between both and maximise it to our benefits! ||Didn't like that the aircon's light kept blinking the whole night. We slept well, since we utilised the hot spring bath twice :)||Bfast was at the 3rd floor restaurant, buffet style and they served western eggs, ham, sausages as well as some local dishes with porridge. Enjoyed the view overlooking the mountains and we sat outdoors to enjoy the cool weather!||My second time here and I will...
