I visited this place in December 2013. I didn't stay in any of the rooms, but just went for two hours in the hot springs. This place is a more value-for-money alternative than the other hot spring hotels in Wulai itself.||||The resort has gender-segregated public pools. They are Japanese-style pools (in the nude) and have a superb, commanding view of the river. The public pools have two hot pools, one cold pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a steam room. A NT$500 package buys you an hour in the public pools (although no one really checks how long you stay). It's a great way to relax after hiking the mountain trails! Lockers, towels and footwear are included in the package - as well as a complimentary meal of toast and tea in the cafe downstairs.||||For those who prefer privacy there are rooms where hot spring water. But I understand there are also time limits on how long you can enjoy the hot water.||||The two biggest problems with the resort are the lack of English-language support and its location. It took me a good 15-minute uphill walk from Wulai Old Street on a...
Read moreI was fortunate enough to have some local advice come my way through a colleague. Call this place up and have them pick you up in town and they will drive you to their facility. It was so worth while. I went with a female colleague, and we chose the public all nude baths, gender specific. She went and did her thing for 2 hours, I went about my business, and we each came out like a million bucks afterwards.||You have different temperature baths, which you don't get in private rooms. The idea is to move between the baths hot/cold/hot then rest. while resting I could feel my whole body floating as I gazed out among the panoramic scenery. I did this routine 3 times and then in the warm bath where they had spa jets and a spa shower. ||When we were done and went back into town we saw the other spas that were available as we walked down the street, obvious tourist traps, no scenery, no public baths. People that don't do their research and pick one of these may still have a good experience, but they don't know what they...
Read moreWulai Hot Spring Resort provides free transport to their resort near the multi storey car park in front of the convenience shop. ||We had private hot spring in our room - hot and cold. The kids love it and soaked 3 times during our 1 night stay. The bed was too hard for my comfort but there are extra comforter and pillows within the cupboards. So thoughtful but if the staffs go extra mile to inform us, it will be splendid. There aren't much facilities within the resort - just purely hot spring. The resort caters free dinner in the chinese restaurant. The only nice dish is the fried egg. The fish tasted horrible! Breakfast was simple - porridge and toast. We were happy with the simple breakfast.||Someone accidentally activated the fire alarm during our stay. Get to experience their fire alarm announcement. ||Take note that the resort is around 10mins ride and if you have huge luggage, old folks and young children, it is advisable to either call them to fetch u at the waiting area mentioned earlier or...
