I stay at this cute small transit hotel before my early flight from Taoyuan Airport. This hotel is built in the residential area and no restaurant surrounding the hotel, but there is a factory outlet called Gloria Mall just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. This mall has food court but be aware, they close at 9 PM. The location is very near to A18 MRT and High Speed Rail station. If you prefer to walk to the hotel from rail station, it is easy walk and well paved. Once you exit Gloria Mall, look for Gloria Mall Boulevard, turn right and walk to the end then turn left. You will arrive at residential area, turn right and walk to the intersection. Turn right again until the traffic light and cross the road, the hotel is in front of the traffic light. The hotel itself does not have big billboard. The lobby is smallish and no place to sit,but you can enjoy the air in front of the terrace. The room is small as this is a transit hotel and everybody just use it for one night. Some rooms have private shower and others are shared with separated gender bathroom. Hotel has small pantry with free bread, coffee, tea, milo around the clock, just help yourself if hungry. If you plan not to go out after check in, then buy your food at Gloria Mall before you return back to hotel. Some small stalls at MRT station sell sandwiches. WiFi is free, and quite fast depending on how busy the hotel at the time. Overall, this is a very nice stopover hotel, don’t look for the luxurious as you come here just to sleep. Highly...

This hotel is certainly close to the airport and a 15 minute walk from the HSR station, 12 minutes from the MRT station. What might be too far to walk with luggage in the rain, and too close for a cab (100 NTD$). Good wifi, but TV has only Chinese channels...boring when you are a foreign traveler. Excellent bed and linens, good washroom but small (even the private washroom), excellent towels (2 per person), free drinking water and use of shared refrigerator (not in room). Room (not shared bathroom) is very small with barely space for luggage, but it does have a small desk and a chair. Provided breakfast is white bread with peanutbutter and instant coffee, but no place to sit.....no restaurant. Worse, there is no restaurant nearby, except foodcourt in nearby Outlet Mall. But NONE of that is open early in the morning. Not even the McD at the HSR station is open early. And the Outlet Mall is the ONLY entertainment within walking distance. Not my idea of spending quality time while waiting for flight. Good connection with MRT to airport (NTD$35) but first train leaves just after 6:00 am. Too expensive for what it offers, there should at least be a shuttle to train station and more choice in...
Read moreI checked into Lutel during chinese new year period. The double room wasnt big, but the space was adequent, i had space to open my luggage for packing. The space in the toilet is sufficient too.
There wasnt a view in my room. And some traffic noise and noise along the corridor could be heard but it didnt affect my sleep. For people who are sensitive to noise, ear plugs would do the job.
I love the butter buns provided for free from 11pm to 11am. They are so good. Give them a toast for 5min in the toaster and enjoy! The lady at the reception was nice and helped me booked a meter taxi to airport.
Location wise, it is near to a supermarket, nearest restaurants are at Shin Kong cinema. Though the distance from HSR looks near on google map, the walk with wheeled luggage wasnt easy as the ground isnt smooth and there was a gentle slope. If you are coming from taoyuan airport, perhaps taking a cab will be easier. My taxi trip from hotel to airport was NT315 on meter + NT50 (chinese new year surcharge).
