Swahili Art Group — Local services in Arusha

This was an unexpected highlight of my trip to Tanzania. I find it hard to connect with art without knowing it's history or the artist and after a great tour of the space and some background on its purpose and formation it was clear that this was a group of people trying to do something positive. The Swahili Art Group is fantastic. We met Rodgers after going to Themi Living Gardens (great food spot) and organised to come the next day. My girlfriend and I are not capable but artists but with Rodgers guiding us, teaching us and showing us tips, we came out with art we are both very happy with.
