Read moreDisappointed with the customer is service is understatement. What a useless unhelpful manager, done my booking through Jumia whom the Golden Tulip manager proudly and happily said have been working with them over two years (with all their problems yet he’s happy to keep on partnership with them).
If you can’t do something with Jumia then it’s screwing your reputation. It feels like you are on this mission together ripping people off. Booked through Jumia last night confirmed and received a code for my booking. For that reason have cancelled my existing booking as was a little far than this hotel and ofcourse don’t want to double book.
Rabg Jumia in the morning whom advised, Golden Tulip Botique haven’t confirmed their rooms availability to them. Hence a confusion.
Rang Golden Tulip Boutique Stone Town, initially the manager don’t even pay attention thinking is speaking to Jumia’s representative besides explaining to him I am a customer whom have cancelled my othe bookings as was deceived by your working partner Jumia! Yet he’s carry on wasting my credit telling me, He has to confirm email, of whatever app they are using to Jumia, I don’t need to know which app you are using or wether you have any at all!!!!
If you can’t sort your working partner (Jumia) you are both known to be conning people. I made a point to letting him know, it is still showing you have other two rooms available and perhaps someone is booking as we speak and whether you happy another person get same distractions being deceived there’s a room whilst you have no availability?! As if that’s not enough, the initial staff at Golden Tulip Stone Town is suggesting now that has happened, how about you stay at Best Western hotel that we so are close and you may be coming use our facilities such as pool etc ??! Really?!
Get your customer service right!
On the hand, I got really great and professional customer service over the phone service from the other Golden Tulip that is 5km away...
Read moreI had a terrible experience with the Golden Tulip Stone Town Boutique. Despite confirming my reservation and paying upon arrival, they cancelled it due to a supposed credit card issue. I was given three hours to update my card details, and they thought I wouldn't make it in time. I managed to arrive at the hotel within that time, but they still refused to check me in, falsely claiming that my room was occupied by a sick guest who couldn't leave.
The receptionist said my booking was cancelled for reasons she didn't know, the reservation officer told me my room was occupied by a sick guest, and the manager cited the card issue. This inconsistency and dishonesty forced me to find other accommodations.
Highly unprofessional and misleading behavior. Avoid this hotel. I do not recommend it.
If my review is inaccurate, please confirm here that a reservation officer did not mention a sick guest occupying my room and that I was not booked into another hotel.
The reservation officer mentioned my room was occupied by a sick guest, while the hotel manager said it was due to the card issue. If it was a card issue, why did the reservation officer tell me you had booked me into another hotel, called “Africa House” in Stone Town, which I refused?
I do not intend to post false reviews or hide any actions. My goal is to share my genuine experience to ensure future guests can make...
