We had heard about this restaurant, and we actually stumbled upon it by chance — and we weren’t disappointed! A great spot to try authentic local cuisine.
The prices are very affordable and there’s a wide variety of options: fish, beef, chicken… something for everyone. We truly enjoyed our meal in the heart of Stone Town. The staff is lovely, and our waitress was especially patient and friendly. She took the time to explain the concept of the restaurant as well as the specific features of the dishes, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
We arrived around 2 p.m. and it was quiet, so we were able to choose our seats on the terrace without any problem.

Read moreBig thanks to Yussuf R (021)! We ran in from the heavy rain to see the restaurant was full with tourists and locals escaping the rain and sat down to eat. Yussuf saw us looking lost, flustered and a little disappointed there was no seats available; he welcomed us and started to look for a table. As we wanted the smaller snack to eat, we asked if we could get take away, he took us straight to the snack area and explained what everything was, took our order, packed it and took our payment in no time. All this is, in what seemed like the a very busy lunch service!
100% would recommend this to anyone for the service and snack foods!

Read moreWhen you arrive you are showed the seafood, fish and the inside food and asked to order, not given a menu. When you ask for a menu they tell you it's not updated. Food isn't tasty nor good, just average.. it's very very pricey!! More than 5$ for a prawn and more than 6$ for an octopus leg (what's in the picture cost us 60$) Above that, if you want to pay in dollars the exchange rate they use is in their favor, they charged us 15$ more on top...
