Perhaps the best, most popular place to have Zanzibar mix. Had a large bowl with soft drink. I was told this is the first place in Zanzibar that started the "Zanzibar Mix" trend. I agree, thoroughly enjoyed with a group of my guests. Not easy to find place if you're not a local. But I am sure any local would be able to guide you to get there.

First time tasting Urojo and loved it. Made of a potato tomatoey curry with skewered meat cubes and cassava bits and eggs. Yummy and wholesome. Not easy to find but if you’re adventurous, the locals will easily guide you here. Just say you’re going to Kokoni behind Shell and then say the place is Combo mix kwa urojo.

Stumbled across this place while exploring thr Old Town and saw a lot of locals eating Uruju or Zanzibar Mix. Loved the tastes and testure of the soup.
