Balloon Camp Tarangire — Hotel in Manyara Region

Be wary of your bookings here, especially if traveling in a group. They put one of our family members travelling alone in a staff quarter instead of a proper tent. They treated it as if it was a normal thing, and there we had to argue our way through before they admitted to an overbooking made.

The manager was drinking on the job while talking to us, and ran away when confronted with the problem, leaving the ground staff to handle it. They would not offer any refunds.

A kind company director gave up his tent to help us, and the camp promised to give him a statement regarding the issue. Next morning they insulted him and called the police on him when he got angry.

We had to also wait and personally make sure they gave us the right number of packed lunches.

This is a real pity, the camp had friendly ground staff, good food, and a wonderful sunset view. The tents are not exactly in a great state, but functional. The poor management left our entire family with a terrible...
