Asili Resort — Restaurant in Arusha

I recently had the opportunity to visit a restaurant and resort in Arusha Town, Tanzania, and I must say that while it had its positives, there were some aspects that left me feeling underwhelmed.

Let's start with the positives. The restaurant's location was truly beautiful, surrounded by lush green vegetation that created a serene and tranquil atmosphere. The ambiance was delightful, making it a perfect spot for both locals and foreigners to unwind and enjoy a meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing good service throughout my visit.

However, I was disappointed by the quality of the food, particularly the BBQ. While the menu offered a variety of options, the execution fell short of my expectations. The BBQ lacked flavor and tenderness, leaving me wishing for more. Considering the high standards I had heard about the restaurant, the average taste of the food was a letdown.

Despite the food, the restaurant and resort offered a pleasant overall experience, thanks to its scenic surroundings and attentive staff. If they could improve the quality of their BBQ and perhaps revamp their menu, this place could truly become a standout destination. As it stands, I would recommend it for the ambiance and environment, but be prepared for a mediocre...

I'm a solo traveler. I was visiting Tanzania to help out the children with albinism. The tourist guide took me to this restaurant for dinner. Wow, I loved their grilled lamb chop. It was so tasty. I came back to this restaurant one more time before I flew to Zanzibar Island for lunch. Unfortunately they didn't have grilled lamb chop during lunch time. I ordered the grilled chicken with rice. It was so tasty. The server was so nice. I dropped my sunglasses on the ground. They found it and kept it for me. I will definitely come back here again in the future.
