Read moreThis guesthouse is in a good secure location very close to the beach. Reception, the bar and restaurant are up three flights of stairs but worth the climb for the great views and good WiFi. The lady on reception was very helpful and spoke|Good English. Breakfast was plain but tasty an omelette, bread and fruit. Coffee was freely available. The hotel has a WhatsApp group that it uses to contact you and also to offer the evening menu. We had the seafood bbq while we were there, very tasty. The rooms are large and clean. Basic facilities, decent showers. You are located near the village and I would recommend a walk in to view the shops particularly the paintings. Taxi to jambiani $7 taxi to and from the rock restaurant $15-20 (recommended)taxi to stone town via jozani forest and the butterfly farm $35. I would recommend you book your taxis through the hotel much less hassle. If you go please take the local children sweets and a football they are...

Nevertheless as soon as I did eventually get WiFi access my children arranged for me to stay at other hotels on the Island and I left the place as soon as I could, never to return, Lesson to self, if going to such amazing locations, don't skimp on comfort. Rather pay top rates elsewhere for quality accommodation...
