Fantastic beach bar attached to the Ananda hotel complex in Paje. My partner and I stayed here for 9 nights and were never disappointed. The food selection is contemporary and varied with both western options and local Swahili dishes available to try, from burgers to curries, wraps to falafels, all were delicious and reasonably priced, though I must confess a particular fondness for the classic cheeseburger!

In addition to the excellent a la carte menu, a varied and fresh breakfast buffet was available every morning for hotel guests with everything from fresh fruit and juices to pancakes, waffles and even avocado toast for the health-conscious (definitely not me!)

The staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful and attentive, particularly Kelviny and Elisabeth, who remembered our preferences quickly and always brought me an extra sugar for my morning coffee, and an ashtray as I'm a smoker - it's the little things that matter to me, and they were spot on with everything!

We grew a little weary of the same downtempo cover album playing every day, hence the 4* review for atmosphere, but I'm sure it was to other people's tastes.
