I feel like this is the cheap one during my stay. The bed is good, but I feel uncomfortable all the time because the lighting is too dim, and I can hear voices from another room when they are talking. Then I faced a problem while ironing my shirt in the room. The iron couldn't increase the temperature to a higher level and eventually stopped working. I requested a replacement, and they sent a housekeeper. She fixed the problem by plugging it into another socket. The iron was hot again, but it still couldn't reach a mid-high temperature. When I informed her about this, she said 'It's just like that...' in Thai and then left. So, my problem was not solved yet. I'm wondering why they didn't just send me a new one. It would have been an easy solution. I'm not being bossy; I just didn't like the way they handled the problem, and it wasn't resolved. In the end, I finished ironing my shirt with low temperature.
The next morning, I went to have breakfast, and there was a large group of people in the restaurant. and no one have told me this before. I am not prepare for this. I was seated near the entrance, which was too far from the serving area. They were everywhere, talking loudly and showing no respect for other guests at all. I saw some people grabbing all the dim-sum as if they were starving. The food was almost empty for some items, even though it was only 7:30 am. I came here to enjoy breakfast, but I felt very uncomfortable in this situation. After just a few bites, I decided to leave and hoped I wouldn't see them again tomorrow morning.
Finally, The next morning I went to have breakfast again. Today it was perfect. It just a few table and peaceful. I was enjoy the meal but it tasteless. It need more seasoning and food is the same menu as yesterday. There is not much variety of food to eat.
Conclusion, I will never visit this...
Read moreBest description is not as good as it looks! Overall just over priced showmanship that failed us on many levels.
Strike one - After booking I asked for a shuttle service for 2 and was told 1,600BHT or $52USD. WHAT!? Booked with Grab and paid 540 including the tip. Returning to airport I took a taxi and paid 380.
Strike two - their breakfast buffet (bistro@M) is worth half what they charge and no more. The appearance of the room is nice but the food is blah and selection is lacking big time.
Strike three - serving raw hamburgers! We went to the ground level bar and order 2 double cheese burgers and a mojito. (See photos) Issue one, not a double burger and clearly not double cheese. Once discovering they were very raw inside they offered to make new ones. The replacements took 30+ minutes and were sent on dry buns. Nothing. The fact that I paid 989 or 32usd for a minute and 2 tiny little hamburgers on dry bun shows me that this place is about the description not fails miserably on the cooking side if their business.
Strike 4 - left room with two roles of quality toilet paper. Roo. Service came through and when we returned there was one role of 40 grit sand paper. Not sure if the staff is trading off cheap home roles but this was to strange to even report on our final night.
Location... Be prepared to spend 600+BHT each day to go to the action. It's a bit far out and you will be dealing with at least a 45+ minute return taxi at night. Traffic jam 4 night in a row and was told its normal.
It's not all bad and this is why I'm providing the 3 stars. Their bed and pillows are mega comfortable. They provide powdered coffee and 2 bottle of drinking water each day. Mini soaps but who really uses hotel soaps these days? If I was just the room its nice. At the price they are...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at Modena by Fraser Bangkok during a recent trip to the city, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment I arrived, the experience was smooth, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming.||The hotel is perfectly located right next to the FYI Center and just a short walk from Queen Sirikit MRT Station. It's also directly connected by an underground walkway to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, making it ideal for business travellers.||I stayed in a Studio Executive, which was incredibly spacious (50 sqm!) and beautifully designed with everything you could need — a king-size bed, modern ensuite with soaking tub, a well-equipped kitchen (including an Illy coffee machine), washing machine, and thoughtful welcome touches like fresh fruit, bottled water, robes, and a handwritten note. The city views from the room were lovely too.||The reception area had a fun and lively vibe with bright décor and foosball tables — such a refreshing change from more formal business hotels. There's also a bar area on-site with indoor and outdoor seating, offering a great happy hour to unwind in the evening.||A big shoutout to Khanittha, who was incredibly helpful answering all my questions before arrival. And a huge thank you to Piyalak, the General Manager, for making sure everything during my stay ran smoothly and ensuring the experience was as comfortable as possible. The entire team was friendly, professional, and truly welcoming throughout.||Modena by Fraser Bangkok is a true gem — whether you're travelling for business or pleasure, I couldn’t recommend it more highly. I’m already looking forward...
