Baan Long Beach — Hotel in Ko Lanta Yai

This is a great little place with very reasonsble price! We a family bungalow for three people and the bungalow was very clean, practical and comfortable. The room is cozy and full of light. Aircon worked well. The beds, mattresses and pillows were good quality. A big fridge and kettle. The bathroom was clean and nice but the only real con is water pressure. The small balcony/terrace was a nice place to sit and have a cold drink after a hot day.||||The location is good: 500 meters to the beach, 200 meters to the main road. The sleeping quality is good: no noise. (Sometimes you can hear some music from the bars in the mainstreet but it’s not a big deal.) ||||They don’t offer breakfast but the nearest place is very near, only 100 meters away. The place is called Long beach Café and we highly recommend that place too. Minimarts, restaurants, bars, pharmacy and ATM very close. We had an amazing four days here. The lady running the resort was absolutely fantastic. Although her English was very limited if we had any issues or questions she would go out of her way to ensure we had what we needed. There was an issue with the air con in our room and immediately she sent us to another room!! I can’t praise enough the staff here. The room was spacious, very clean and ideal for what we needed. It is a 2 minute stroll to the beach and there is a post office, atm, shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance. It is situated in a quieter, more relaxed part of town, however it’s not a massive island so very easy to make your way around. We spent 12 nights here while visiting Koh Lanta.||The place is ideally located on a comperatively quiet backstreet close to both the shops and restaurants on main street and the long beach.||Service is prompt and friendly.||The bungalows are plain but fullfills all basic needs. The concrete and brick construction helps the fight against of bugs and dirt. Hence the bungalows are clean and offers few if any bugs.||Suggestions for improvement. |All things can get better, even the good ones. We would welcome: a few more hand towels. At least one new every day would be nice. An extra roll of toilet paper. It is no fun running out of it. A few chairs to relax in instead of the rather uncomfortable stools.
