Accommodation on Koh Lanta Yai, located on a small hill, offers views of the Siri Lanta Bridge, the sunrise over the mountain range, and lush green trees—all visible from the balcony at the back of the room.||The room itself is clean and comes equipped with a large bed, storage shelves, a chair with a backrest that doubles as a drying rack, air conditioning, a water heater, hair dryer, television, refrigerator, electric kettle, coffee, soap, shampoo, towels, and drinking water. In addition to all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay, there are thoughtful touches from the host, such as an adjustable standing fan and a power strip—both of which can be taken out to the balcony. These small details make for a relaxing experience—physically, mentally, and financially.||This room is truly one in a million, where we experienced the beauty of heartfelt and genuine kindness from Khun Aek, the host. For example, he helped us book a snorkeling trip with a trusted partner at a price you simply wouldn’t find anywhere else. He also checked in with us occasionally—just the right amount, never intrusive—to see if we had any plans or needed any help. If he saw a way to assist, he would step in without hesitation.||Khun Aek truly embodies the saying “friendship is worth more than bags of gold”, a rare and much appreciated quality.||Staying at De Saran Lanta gave us a sense of spiritual happiness. We wish Khun Aek many more good friends. Based on what we read on Google Reviews and TripAdvisor, it’s clear that he already has many friends, mostly from Europe and Scandinavia - we urge Thai visitors to give Se Saran Lanta the opportunity to provide them with the same positivity we...
Read moreI had a wonderful time in Koh Lanta not only because the island itself, but also this accommodation and Ake, the host. Firstly, the place is lovely and you have a panoramic view from the room where you can see sunset and sunrise everyday. It is also very quite so it is perfect if you are looking for a place where you can both work and relax. Location is great and you can easily explore the island by riding a scooter. The room is clean and it includes a shower with warm water so it has everything you need! Moreover, whoever stays in this place can't end the review without mentioning Ake. He is so attentive, responsive, and caring. It was my first time in the island and he made my trip easy and comfortable. He always helped me the best he could; showing me the island, renting a scooter, and dropping me off at the airport, etc. I was so grateful and there is no doubt where I will be staying if I have a chance to go...
Read moreI stayed over two months in this special place. Special because of the jungle view from the balcony, the monkeys that hop around, the fantastic outdoor kitchen with all amenities you need and a really comfy room (and mattress!)
But the most special about the accommodation is the owner “Ake” Akarat. He is the most genuine airbnb owner I’ve ever met in my travel life (no joke). Helps you with everything, is not after your money and even bought fresh fish for me and bbqed it. He’s really taking care of his guests.
A big plus is that you can also take his bicycle for free. In 10-15 minutes you cycle to the idyllic Long Beach. Or rent a bike and drive all the way to the south, it’s amazing!
Lanta market, a big supermarket in Saladan, is nearby.
Yep, it’s a special place that I will always remember....
