I booked this hotel for my cousin and I for 3 nights based on the reviews on here. What a mistake that was!||We arrived in Ko Samet quite late on so we got into our rooms had a quick shower and out for a beer. My first impression was it was okay but not great. My impression went rapidly downhill when I arrived back after midnight. I first noticed the amount of mosquitos in the room and discovered they were coming from the glass louvre slat windows which wouldn't close properly. I then discovered how hard the bed was even by Thai standards. The mattress was actually a mattress topper about one inch thick on top of a wooden divan base. My hips were killing me within a couple of hours due to the bed so I slept on the small couch.||In the morning I asked to change rooms due to the bed and the windows. I was shown a room right beside reception. The mattress looked really comfy but the amount of stains on it put me off plus those window slats were also broken. The third room was the same. Maybe it’s a British polite thing but I would have got embarrassed had I asked to see a fourth room so I made my excuses and left.||Frankly I’m amazed how they have the audacity to charge 900 baht for a room. I got double room with sofa bed. Overall I'm very happy with my stay. Super clean, zero bugs even though the window shutters were slightly opened (couldn't close them). I didn't have the towel provided but I quickly got it upon asking. There was no view from the window from the room I was staying in but that's fine. Didn't need it anyway. It was a bit loud in the beginning as someone outside was constantly laughing but after like.. 10:30pm it got very quiet. The room was very big. Shower worked ok. 2 soaps provided. I kinda missed shampoo but maybe I haven't noticed it? 1 new toilet paper provided. 3 bottles of water if I'm not mistaken. Fridge. Aircon working. Big bed.
