Café Bar Old-Amsterdam — Restaurant in Ko Samet

Very strange place. Interior is ok, but the staff was more than under question: they had been standing beside all the time we tried to choose a cocktail (no ingredients written in the menu) and brought a confusing bill in the end. We remembered the price of the cocktail, but the final price just had to be in the bill so we paid according to the bill. That was wrong! Before that me and my friend had discussion as we were trying to understand why the bill had this price (lower than expected), but maybe they had 1+1 sale or something like that. The lady staff looked like she waited for that and tried to make a scandal accusing me of fraud when I told her that I will pay, but it’s better to write total price instead of Thai letters next time. The cocktails seemed to have no alcohol at all and are not worth...

If I could give zero stars I would, we had great time yesterday, however today girls show up after hours at another bar and demand bar fine for owner, owner is from the Netherlands and would not appreciate this, Good, and Soon show up with other lady demanding bar fine, other lady is ring leader, we leave then she shows up at other friends room from night before asking for more bar fine. The ladies were very nice until ring leader makes these girls steal from people, NAN who works the bar is very nice, but ladies steal...

Bear in mind this is a bar on an island in Thailand. The beer was good at the right price. The part owner was a really friendly guy but all over the world I have found the Dutch to be lovely people. As regards to the bar ladies I find it hard to put into word how good they were. I had a bad ankle and straight away one volunteered to take me back to my hotel. All of them made me very welcome.
