Sirin Villa Samed - ศิริน วิลล่า เสม็ด — Hotel in Ko Samet

I stayed this resort 3 nights. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my five trips to Thailand! First of all, there was a problem with the door lo I was locked in the room as soon as I checked in. I called the front desk and she said staff would come over for a few minutes. But no one came for half an hour, then no one answered the phone call. So I had to knock on the window and shouted loudly. Then I asked to rent a motorcycle with the front desk and she bailed on me twice, and I couldn't go anywhere that day, wasting my time! In the end, there were so many mosquitoes in the room that my eyes was bitten by mosquitoes for two days and I couldn't even open eyes! I couldn't sleep well every night. I asked the front desk to arrange for the staff to spray pesticides in the room, but no one went there in the morning. Until noon, I asked again and stared at it in person to slove it! Away from the town centre, this villa resort is located perfectly right by the ocean. It is just a pleasant place to relax, swim and enjoy the ocean view.

Staff at the reception is very friendly who is willing to accommodate your needs.

The room I had has everything I would need. It is kept very clean, aircon was working perfectly. Breakfast is pretty decent to provide the energy you would need to start the day.

Overall, location is great (if you like to be away from shops and 7-11s). Price of the room is very reasonable for the clean and nice room with decent breakfast. Definitely would like to...

Pros: ever smiling front desk manager quiet and small location

Cons: room not equipped with fridge and trash can (can was added at request) upper floor of highest building is on top of a trash dump fridge at front desk is locked after 6pm. Pretty useless if one wants to have a cool beer when returning from the beach minimal breakfast every day the same porridge, fried eggs, toast and poisonous looking green sweet stuff stairs going up to the room slowly falling apart, railing not stable taxi mafia charges 300 baht for 3km...
