The C Samet Beach Resort — Hotel in Ko Samet

This hotel is definitely OVERPRICED |This is the third time of staying here over a 5 year span and nothing has changed for the good |The rooms are very very basic with |A/C but no fans the bathrooms are very poor and the water stops a lot for no reason |We stayed for 10 nights but the buffet breakfast was only available for 2 mornings, the staff would offer a very small breakfast menu which the owner called a la carte 🤣|The staff werw very friendly and also very helpful but they can only do soo much without the tools|The owners of this hotel need to put a good bit of money into this hotel rather than just covering up the holes |They are relying on the beauty of the island to carry them and their prices |This hotel does nothing at night to attract customers for a drink or to have some food |The room was cleaned now and then as the cleaner didn't speak any Thai or English so it was hard to communicate with her |It seems a lot of the time rhe staff are standing around doing nothing with the same couple of members working night and day |We will not be staying here for a 4th time unless there are big changes made to the upkeep |If you are going to stay ask for a room at the bottom of the hill as I felt sorry for the customers having to climb the hillside to get to their rooms |The 5 island tour turned into a 3 island tour with one being visited twice ??? And as soon as they get to the first island they stay for 2 hours and call it lunch, which was melon rice and pineapple |Not sure if we would visit Koh Samet again when there are better islands but we are very sure we would never...

DO NOT BOOK THIS RESORT. Bad service, the staff was lying, didn’t want to show is the rooms. Make us sign the check in paper first… We were three friends booking at this resort. All three rooms had mould everywhere, the odor was unbearable. The cabins are located in the forest where there is a lot of humidity. The cabins are NOT on the beach as promised. Then we had to pay double. They tried to make us pay much more for other rooms. There is bad air and a ROTTEN SMELL that hits us as soon as we opened the door. Even the bed sheets smelled of MOLD because the smell is so strong. There are big cracks in the windows and doors so insects get in. Spiders, cockroaches and ants. There is mold on the curtains. Mold on the tiles in the bathroom and ceiling. The floor creaks. When we complained about this they stood smiling at each other as if they knew it already and shrugged their shoulders as if they didn't care. Not nice people who cheat people like this.

Please. Do not pay for this place for your own health and safety. Do not book! Waste of money. I work in the service industry myself, this is fraud and deceit. You do not get what you pay for.

We had to change to another hotel. We didn't get a refund or a room. Had no other choice.

A nice hotel with very helpful staff. Choosing a seaside room on Trip was not clear, we ended up with a room further off the beach than I prefer. Staff moved us to a preferred room, without hassle. The breakfast is suitable for farang if you cannot do spicy. The beach is very clean, as is the water and with a morning tide you can see fish and crabs moving about. The resort is next to a roped off swim area shared by several hotels. A close-by dock serves those who want go on a snorkle trip but I dont know where to sign up for this. You will need a taxi or rent motorcy to get to town but there are two small stores about 5 minute walk if you need snacks, water, etc. There is no ATM nearby and only one on the whole island so have plenty of baht since many places on the island do not accept credit card.Our only issue was that the pool's PH level was way off and caused a bit of irritation for the boys and I could not, at all, open my eyes underwater. Hopefully this is a one-off event. Otherwise, the staff was exceptional, helped us rent 2 motorcy and had them delivered. The room was cleaned each day, bed was not too hard, and AC worked great.
