Tom Pizza Resort — Hotel in Ko Samet

I have both positive and negative view for this place. Let me start with the positive opinion first. First of all, I appreciate the hospitality and good customer service from the staffs. To be perfectly honest, the staffs are really polite and they really care the customers what I can definitely feel. For this point, I gave this place three points.As the Asian foreigner like me, I was disappointed some filthy and horrible customer service from the staffs of most budget hotel in Thailand. ||The negative view from me is cleanliness. There were a lot of mosquitoes in front of my rooms and also inside my room. The room smelt stiff too. The light bulbs were not working properly and sometimes during my stay, I don't get the bathroom light. I was afraid to death having shower in the dark.And also I tagged the sign like " please make up my room " in front of my door lock in the morning and I went outside. I came back to my room around 1pm. When i came back, I found that they didn't make up my room. I thought like it wasn't time for us to make up the room. Though when I looked around, some of the cleaners were cleaning the rooms beside my rooms. Actually, they completely missed my rooms. Then I thought may be they don't get my key so that they not dare to touch my belongings. So, I gave my keys to the reception to clean. One thing when I come back at night. I asked the keys from the reception. They lost my keys. We were waiting for like 10 mins outside. I was angry. But the hotel staffs looked sorry and apologized me. So, finally I calm down . ||My appreciation||I forgot my shoes bag and my student ID at the hotel. I contacted the staffs and they sent me back my belongings to Bangkok next day without accepting my thankfulness pay and delivery fees. They only requested me to accept their apology for my inconvenience stay. I feel surprised their hospitality, attitude and responsibility. ||||To conclude, is it worth to stay ? Hmm, it's difficult to say, For the budget traveler, it's even worth because of the hospitality and customer service. This is the best and most polite budget place where I have been through in Thailand. But if you come for vacation or relaxation, i am afraid i would not recommend this. You know the feeling? You are not safe and feel dirty to touch everything in hotels which makes me tired...

The hotel I want to review left me deeply disappointed. The price for accommodation was inflated by 3-4 times compared to the provided services. The real cost of such lodging should be $30-40. The semi-suite room we were given was located right by the entrance and the road, creating constant noise and discomfort.

The furniture in the room left much to be desired - it had holes, and the lighting was so dim that we had to use a flashlight to find things. Breakfast arrangements also left much to be desired: a selection of sausages, watermelon, and an unidentifiable soup fell far short of culinary enjoyment.

The dinner experience also left a negative impression: the ordered salad and soup were delayed by an hour, and there was no table inside the restaurant, which was inconvenient.

Additionally, the bathroom was affected by mold, which significantly spoiled the overall impression of the stay. I paid over $100 for all this, which I consider unacceptable.

The only positive aspect was the presence of the sea in the vicinity of the hotel. However, this is not enough to compensate for the other shortcomings. I do not recommend this hotel for accommodation.

Location is beautiful and the toilets were clean. That's about as positive review as I can give. We ordered 2 Thai dishes and a portion of spring rolls that showed up same time as the bill. The lady who took out order wasn't even listening to us. We pointed out dishes on the menu to confirm our choices but she could not care in the slightest. Our 2 corn chowder soups did not arrive but instead 2 Changs did that well didn't order which we sent back. Our mains arrived after a long time of waiting and they were the sorriest looking mains I've seen in my 2 trips to Thailand. Absolutely tiny portions. And tasteless. We've been coming to Thailand for some while and this was the worse food we've ever been served. We asked for the bill to see we've been over charged by 200 bht. 3 members of staff were around the table trying to sort it. No apology. No enquiries to why were hadn't eat the food. We ended up telling them the food was not good and they couldn't care. No customer service at all. Horrendous place and an awful first impression...
