Ao Nang Hill Hotel is a popular accommodation choice in Ao Nang, Krabi, known for its scenic hilltop location and views of the surrounding area. Here's a breakdown of the good, the bad, and whether it's worth staying there: The hotel offers stunning views of Ao Nang and the surrounding limestone cliffs. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the main Ao Nang area, it provides a peaceful retreat. Although, currently there is a large construction project on a building next door, so if you’re looking to sleep in, that could be problematic without ear plugs as construction starts early in the morning and still continued on through the weekend. The rooms are generally comfortable and well-equipped. There are different options ranging from small private villa style homes, to other pool front rooms, and then a general building with your usually hotel offerings. The AC works well, but the WiFi can be somewhat unstable kicking you off every few hours. Lockbox, hairdryer, mini fridge, and kettle included in each room. The laundry service is EXCELLENT. It was super cheap, by the kilo, and our clothing was returned within less than 24 hours clean and folded to perfection. Whoever does the laundry service there deserves a major raise. Many guests report that the staff are friendly and accommodating. This was also our experience during our stay. Service available in English and Thai. The breakfast service is pretty great. A gentleman is there to prepare eggs, pancakes and waffles to your liking, and he is remarkably swift! The service also includes drinks such as juices, tea and coffee as well as more typical Thai foods like noodles and curries, but also western typical ones such as potatoes, hams, and sausages (chicken) in addition to cereals and milk. While the hotel offers great views, it is a bit of a distance from the beach and main Ao Nang area, which could be inconvenient for some. However, the hotel does provide free transport to and from the beach area on an hourly basis. The hotel may not have as many facilities or amenities as some of the larger resorts in Ao Nang such as a gym. However, it does have a very nice pool with an amazing view of the famous hill. Whether Ao Nang Hill Hotel is worth staying at depends on your preferences. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with stunning views and don't mind being a bit away from the main attractions, it could be a great choice. However, if you prefer to be closer to the beach and nightlife, you may want to consider other options. Scooter rental and massage services available on site.

We came here 2years ago when it was first open and because of how nice it was then we chose to come here again. We booked 2x villas with showers for 5 days that cost 14,000b $430 which is excellent value for the accommodation you will get. Checkin was swift, informative and we arrived a little before the designated checkin time but was still allowed to go to the rooms. Rooms were yet again fantastic. Very clean, well maintained and have all the little essentials needed like kettle, safe, bottle opener on the wall, shampoo, body wash, clothes hangers, fridge etc. The fridge can be filled with drinks from the hotel and they are a very good price, only a little bit more than you would pay in a 7/11! Bed is firm but comfy. A decent TV for those who like to watch a bit of TV. AC was working in both rooms with no problems. Shower was always hot if required, yet again no problems. 2x bottles of water given every day after the daily clean. The views are amazing, you have a fantastic limestone mountain in the background which you can get some super photos! Breakfast is definitely a lot better compared to our first stay. There now are different hot foods, cakes, salad bar, egg station and they even make American pancakes, probably find something you like. A fair selection of drinks from coffee, to juices. Location is just a 10 minute walk to Aonang beach with plenty of bars and restaurants all around. We had a slight problem with the breakfast tokens, a days token was not given so when we took a token the day was different to the date given, was a bit embarrassing with the commotion as we eat light for breakfast anyway plus my girlfriends daughter had a villa to herself so they saved 5 days breakfast on that villa alone. During our time there they were redoing the decking at the pool which shows that they are keeping up with maintenance. Overall a fantastic place to stay for a very reasonable price!

Money for value was good in my view. There are compromises you have to make but I would say it was worth it in general. No problems with staff at reception, they were very friendly. I would say the hotel offered amazing small pool for hotel guests with nice view of the mountains. Rooms were big enough. Do not expect rooms to be cleaned as in 5,4 star hotels or any of the luxurious benefits of that type of accomodation. Actually you have to request your room to be cleaned. Its not the default :) Reception offers various trips and excursions, however they are slightly more expensive than what you could find in Ao Nang. But its easier to organize. The hotel is arround 20 minutes from the beach but there is free shuttle to the beach every 30 minutes. You have to walk back though or pay for tuk tuk or taxi. The location is a bit far away which is bad if you want to be close to the beach(which by the way is a horrible beach, just go to Poda island if you want a better beach) but on the other hand its a bit outside of the main street so its definitely more quiet and offers a bit of seclusion from the noisy town. Food was decent, no stomach problems and we ate there couple of times. Breakfast was quite simple but enough. Don't expect anything fancy. Don't imagine all inclusive type of buffet. There are lots of small geckos, even sometimes they show up in your room, but they are not dangerous to humans, on the contrary the eat most mosquitos and bugs, so treat them as friends.

PLS AVOID THIS HOTEL AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HORROR!! Property is great, breakfast is fine no problem with the hotel but one staff member at the reception I’want to complain about is Noot . We were checking out on our last day in Krabi. We were leaving with fond memories of Thailand just when Noot decided to ruin our whole experience and outlook on coming back to this hotel next time or recommending to anyone .We were told to pay an extra late fee of 200 bht bec we checked out at 12:40 pm instead of 12pm. Noot said she called our room but we never got a call from her, mind you all the 4 days we stayed there they were communicating on WhatsApp not the landline ever .When my husband asked her how come she never mentioned the late fee while we checked in or when he come at 11am to re confirm on the check out timing earlier she got all aggressive and her whole tone in voice changed. Instead of accepting her mistake she pounced on us.That’s when i intervened and asked her why was she behaving so rude it’s not like we didn’t say we weren’t paying all we asked is why wasn’t it told to us earlier . She threatened us and called the cops . Saying I’m calling the police to talk to you’ll !! I mean do you expect anyone to be calm on hearing that ? I obviously reacted like anyone would and asked her what was the need when we are ready to pay the late fee. She still went ahead and said no you speak to the police. I had to record her video bec she could lie to the cops saying we didn’t and glad i did. When i told her i have a video she got furious and said we have you’ll on camera too and you’ll are not allowed to record us. So why was her response “ we have you’ll too” So the hotel can record us but we can’t ? I asked her why does the police have to cover up and speak on her behalf if she couldn’t communicate and is incompetent as an employee. Infact if we knew earlier we could have extend our stay till 4pm bec we had a late evening flight .Does Thailand police have nothing better to do than come rescue her of her bad behaviour? Pls fire this employee she had no right to do what she did she harassed us on our last few hours in Krabi . She also seemed racist towards us bec we were from India she spoke rude to us . We accepted our fault of being late but only if we were made aware of the late fee it would have helped . But Noot was a nightmare .Pls refrain from going to this hotel if you don’t want to ruin your holiday. Also if you check the other reviews you will see all the complains are only staff related most of which are about their bad behaviour and some of even stealing money . Pls pls avoid this hotel .

Since I couldn’t revert to your response - I am leaving this note for the Hotel management who replied to my complaint -Tipwan . Dear Tipwan ,Thanks for your response.I understand you want to save the hotels reputation by covering for your staffs Noots bad behaviour but I can assure you she called the police on us and even insisted we wait till they come.Since we were planning on spending our last few hours shopping for family and friends my husband asked Noot to call the police once we are back if she needs she then decided to make peace with us.Let me tell you she mentioned and even spoke to the police on call in front of us.I can confirm there was no language barrier issue unless she just pretended to speak to the police which is a clear “threat” to your guest.I had a video of her as well but I don’t chose to share share it with respect to her as she is a woman and we don't need to “threaten” people like she did.And about keeping you’ll informed if we needed more time, I guess you should tell this to Noot to inform the guest's about the extra charges which would...

This review relates to the Massage Service at Aonang Hill resort. We checked in on Jan 29th and on 31st we decided we would like to get a massage. Seeing there was one onsite with a service list in the rooms we felt this would be a better option than the many on the road and beach that we had passed. We paid at the reception desk (1100 THB for both) and after the massage team had arrived from wherever we were invited into the room opposite reception.||We laid face down in separate beds with curtains in between. My wife had a senior lady and I a young man. Immediately after my wife had removed her sandals the lady started explaining she needed a foot scrub in her non-existent English. After much cajoling my wife said ‘OK’ just to appease her. I received no such cajoling.||To cut a long story short…. We both were given a ‘treatment’ on our feet that is designed to remove hard skin from the heel area only. Mine was applied all over my feet and left for over 20 minutes. I noticed some tenderness to my big toe and my feet felt really ‘zingy’ on the arches after a while - which is where this product should not have been applied.||||Consequence is that I suffered chemical burns to both feet and struggled to walk out. Staff at reception were interested and took pictures that they sent to their ‘manager’. The day after we decided that it was too risky not to have them looked at by a doctor and so we got taken to a medical walk in centre and had various treatments applied and medication given to us. This cost over 6000 THB (£150). Check up is tomorrow. ||||Reception have continued to be interested but this is well above their pay grade. There is no accident book to fill in nor do they have first aid supplies on site. The elusive ‘manager’ has yet to appear and emails to their desk have not been answered. They know about the medical fee.||||Thus my advice to all travellers to Aonang Hill resort is to avoid the Massage Service like the plague if you don’t want to encounter poor service, and a management organisation who clearly don’t care about the welfare of...
