Bodega Pai Party Hostel — Hotel in Mae Hong Son Province

Hmmm. Bed was cleaner than expected after reading some bad reviews. Bathroom was ok, just one toilet for 2 10 bed dorms though…… Also could use some soap at the sink instead of shampoo? Room felt super cramped but it’s a cheap stay so whatever. They should definitely fix the door to the room though, it’s suuuuper loud and pretty hard to open. Also there was this light right over my bed that I couldn’t turn off which sucked… booooo.

Definitely not a party hostel though. I stayed at the start of busy season and no one was hanging out. Maybe they could add some cushions to the common area to make it more inviting?

Also the “stay warm” rent a blanket thing was weird even for a cheap hostel. It’s kinda their one job to give people blankets.

I feel like if they didn’t cheap out as much they could make this place super nice!

Don’t let all the horrible reviews scare you away. After excepting the worst from reviews we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms, beds and bathroom were clean. But no hand soap in the bathroom. Staff was decent. Weirdest thing- if you don’t want to shiver at night you have to pay 75B to rent a blanket.. & it can get quite chilly in Pai. But they give you a towel for the shower? So why no blanket??

For some reason there’s no light switch in the room to turn off the main light, (I believe someone had to ask from desk around 12 to turn it off) it’s right above somebody’s bed…

The bodega staff are all so welcoming that you feel like you have Been friends for ages. We booked 2 nights but extended to 6. Josh, Charlie and Anders are all so much fun to party with and they have great events each day such as bar-crawls, beer-Pong tournament and different fun games. The manager Andrew Also took great Care of us and picked us up by scooter in case something happened or someone had trouble making it Home after partying. If you want to party with people from all over the world and have a great Time, this is the place to stay at in Pai. Will...
