Nai Fun is a property just across the river from the main busy touristy road in PAI. To get there you need to cross one of the bamboo bridges. Because of its location, I would suggest to travel very light. From the pictures in various booking sites it looks fantastic, once you get there..........well lets say it is a very simple and fairly kept property. The reception area is not well organized and the person behind the desk speaks poor English. If it rains make sure you were non slippery shoes, the floor from the reception to the bridge or to the room becomes very very slippery. We were assigned to one room on the top floor. The glass door was locked with a padlock :-( .......strange. Inside, the dark painted floor gave and idea of not being clean, dust around on the bed frame and few spider nets here and there. The toilet was clean but poorly maintained and the electricity emergency switch of the water heater seemed to me in a odd place (too close to the water hose) ........maybe I am too picky??? Anyway we were there two nights and we asked not to have the room cleaned in between. The room has the usual amenities: AC, FAN, TV, fridge, water heater. Coffee is available 24hrs at the reception (make sure you don't slip). So lets say that for 600 BHT in a low season I could expect a little more, however considering that PAI is booming all year round maybe it is...
Read moreThis is my second time visited Pai, and i definitely choose Pai Nai Fun again. I was surprised as the reception area is just renovated and reopened the hotel to customer since October. New and Well decorated make me feel like i am in a stylish resort where the nature is so close to you.
Cafe is just operated as well, coffee bar (additional charge) is available for in house guest and other are welcome also. Highly recommended to try a cup of coffee and relax before you start your trip of the day. Or even in the afternoon, you will enjoy drinking coffee while seeing the river view right in front of you! How beautiful it is!
The location is just perfect. ( 5 mins walk only!!! just across the bridge and there will be a small road lead you to walking street where you can enjoy street food, pub , bar and shopping! And 10 mins walk from Prempracha bus station)
Car parking is also available for in house guest. So no worry if you have a car. You have to use the route to the back of hotel which is a bit difficult so please make sure you have asked the direction from staff before you arrive.
I would highly recommended this hotel and will see you again for...
Read moreI was in bungalow #2. The sink leaks into the floor when used.
There is no room service. You make your own bed. You go to the reception to get toilet paper.
Roaches roam the bathroom floor at night. They come from the shower drain.
There is no coffee for breakfast. Only coffee powder. The breakfast is either soupy rice or a plate of cold eggs. So not reserve breakfast here. Cross the bridge and eat at a restaurant.
There is no maintenance crew working on the gardens or lawns. The lawn is unkept and over grown. Snakes can hide here easily.
Parking your car is difficult and too tight to maneuver.
The bamboo patios are rotten and an accident is waiting to happen. Someone soon will fall through and get hurt.
In the shower, if you want hot water then there is no water pressure. If you want water pressure, there is no hot water. Choose one or the other, but not both.
The bed is super hard. My hips and back hurt.
Furthermore, the wife was bit by bed bugs and has welts all over her body. We are not ever staying here again. It’s not worth the money. Feels like a scam. Minimum...
