I want to start by saying this is the first ever hotel review I have ever written . I don’t consider myself A fussy person I work construction and just wanted what I paid for but what I received made me write this review so others don’t get the same terrible experience I did . This is the Worst hotel I have stayed at in my 35 years on this planet . How it can be listed as a 5 star resort blows me away I wouldn’t even consider it 3 stars. I Had problems daily from The second I checked in to the moment I left. Do not stay at this place avoid it at all cost. From the aircon leaking into a huge puddle on the floor in the middle of the night and me slipping and hitting my elbow and head. (See photos) I informed the manager they apologised told me I would be compensated and nothing was done . My motorcycle was pushed over and badly damaged by another guest and when I asked them to review the cctv footage they said they would look into and contact me. . They never contacted me or spoke with me about it until I was checking out and I brought it up , they took no responsibility even tho I was parked in a designated guest car park with cctv and one of their guests had damaged it , they then told me I would have to contact the Patong police to make a police report . Even tho they have the other guys on cctv damaging the motorcycle. Cleaners extremely late or don’t come at all they are understaffed badly and they do not change your sheets only make your bed . I removed the sheets myself to reveal urine yellow and brown covered mattress topper and mattress (see photos) Toilets have to be flushed 3 times to make anything in toilet bowl go down including just urine (don’t get me started on how many flushes you have to do to get rid of a poo) Staff at reception say they will follow something up or call you back , and never do what they say , they tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you to leave them alone. Booked 3 rooms for 6 people was informed that I only booked for 3 people And would need to pay 12000 baht for another person in each room . Then when I showed them my receipt from booking.com that stated I had booked for 6 people and after fighting with them for 45 minutes they finally agreed that they were in the wrong . Paid for buffet breakfast for 6 people daily but when me and my girlfriend went for breakfast on the first day I was told only one of us was allowed to enter and eat in the restaurant . embarrassing me and my girlfriend in front of everyone at the restaurant at the time. Only to walk all the way to reception (750m up and down a huge hill) for reception to tell me I was correct and I in fact had paid for me and my girlfriend and the 4 other guests . No apology was offered and we missed breakfast . Shuttles are seriously understaffed and only come every 20 minutes making walking that huge hill every day a trek especially in the Patong heat .my keys to my room were cancelled for no reason on the 5th day of my 10 day stay , making me have to trek to reception once more to complain and have new keys cut , when I asked why my keys had been cancelled they didn’t even give me a reason.. They cancelled my friend room keys the very next day and when he mentioned that my keys had been cancelled the day before they told my friend I was lying , so I went to reception and informed them I wasn’t lying and to ask the female staff member who cut my keys yesterday , to which she confirmed I was telling the truth, still no apology or any kind of responsibility shown by the staff whatsoever just shrug . My door and door lock was broken looking like someone had tried to break into my room before I checked in, One push and the whole door would’ve snapped open (see photos) . Walked onto my balcony leaned in the guard rail and almost fell through as it was falling out of the out of the wall on both sides ( see photos ) . Air conditioning would randomly stop working in the middle of the night multiple times leaving me and my girlfriend waking up in 30 degree heat covered in sweat wondering wtf is going on. AVOID

Let me be very clear: do not book even an hour at this hotel. If you read this review and still decide to book, then there’s no point in reading reviews at all, because I’m being 100% honest here and trying to save others from the same mistake. Before going to Phuket, I made the mistake of booking this hotel in a hurry without checking reviews — I admit it. It was a non-refundable booking and I accepted that. However, a few days before my arrival, I started reading the reviews and saw how many negative experiences people had shared. That’s when I knew I had made a mistake. I politely requested a free cancellation twice before arriving — explaining my concerns and asking kindly — but each time the hotel responded very late and refused without any flexibility or empathy. I arrived at the hotel around 10:00 AM (yes, I know the check-in time is 2:00 PM — I respect that). However, the lobby was overcrowded, extremely hot, and had no air conditioning. Not even a bottle of water or a welcoming drink was offered, despite the long wait. I asked if I could check in a little early, but was told a firm no. Again, I respected their policy and left to explore nearby. There’s a tourist guide shop near the hotel, and when the lady asked me where I was staying and I mentioned this hotel, her immediate reaction was: “Oh, that one’s horrible!” She told me that many guests complain that the pictures on booking sites have nothing to do with the reality. Back at the hotel, I went to the front desk at 1:43 PM, just 17 minutes before check-in time. I kindly asked if I could check in, but they refused again and told me, "It’s not 2 PM yet." Honestly, that kind of attitude made me feel like I was unwelcome. At 2:00 PM, they asked for a 2,000 THB deposit, and I said I wanted to see the room first. They refused. I stood my ground and eventually they agreed — but treated me rudely and said they would confiscate our passports and luggage until the deposit was paid. Extremely unprofessional behavior. The rooms are not even within walking distance from reception — you must wait for a single Toyota Hilux truck to take you up a steep hill. We had to wait about 30 minutes in the heat for our turn. Finally, we reached the room. It was a complete disaster. The room was nothing like the pictures, it was filthy, dated, and disgusting. The smell was so bad, and the room felt dirty the moment we stepped in — not just visibly, but even in the air and on the surfaces. I took several photos (I could only upload 8 due to limitations, but I have more). There was no beach view — the idea of a beach view is a joke! The beach is nowhere close by. I immediately returned to the front desk and said I would not check in. They didn’t even ask why or try to offer a different room. They just handed over my passports and luggage and dismissed me coldly. I had to go out, find a new place, and book it last minute — losing all the money I paid for this nightmare of a hotel. Since then, I have requested a refund three more times and even shared all the evidence with Agoda. But every time, the hotel replied after 48 hours or more, and always with the same response: No refund. Even Agoda couldn’t get them to reconsider. This hotel is a disgrace. It should be removed from all booking platforms. The way the staff treats guests is rude and unacceptable, the rooms are dirty and misrepresented, and the location is misleading. Even if there’s not a single room left in Phuket, do NOT make this hotel your option. It was the worst part of my trip and an experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

This is what I emailed them, but they didn’t reply, so I just posted here, Dear Andamantra resort. I am staying at Andamantra room 3215 from 2025/03/18 to 2025/03/21, and I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding multiple issues that occurred during my stay. 1. Uncomfortable Shuttle Bus Experience When I was transported to my room via shuttle bus, I was asked to share a single seat with another person. This made the ride extremely uncomfortable, and my foot even got stuck in the door, causing pain and inconvenience. 2. Unhygienic Room Condition Upon checking into my room, I immediately noticed the following issues: • A used towel was left on the floor, with an unknown liquid spilled on it that had a strong, unpleasant odor. • The toilet was clogged with toilet paper, making it completely unusable. I called the front desk via the room phone and requested a cleaning service. However, despite waiting for over an hour, no one arrived. I then went to the front desk in person and showed photos of the issue. The front desk staff was polite, but no cleaning staff ever came. As a result, I was unable to use the toilet for the entire night, which was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. A whole day passed, yet they never came to unclog the toilet. Eventually, while walking outside, we found a janitor and explained the situation in our room. They acted as if they were hearing about it for the first time, seemingly unaware of any prior reports. It was clear that there was a lack of communication among them. They assured us they would take care of our room. However, after waiting for 30 minutes with no sign of them, we decided to go out. When we returned, the only changes were a new supply of water and the old, used towels from the previous guests neatly spread out in the bathroom. Frustrated, we called the lobby again, and only then did they finally send an engineer to fix the toilet. We spent about 22 hours after check-in feeling nothing but anger, constantly having to leave the room to find a usable bathroom. Spending our very first honeymoon like this was incredibly upsetting and infuriating. 3. Possible Security Concern in the Bathroom I noticed a suspicious hole in the bathroom, which made me extremely concerned about the possibility of a hidden camera. This was a serious privacy and security issue that made me feel unsafe during my stay. 4. Missing Amenities There was supposed to be a set of cups available in the room, but one was missing, which was an inconvenience. 5. Faulty Shower Equipment The showerhead was loose and could not be fixed in one position, making it difficult to use properly. Given these multiple issues, my stay was far from satisfactory. I expect another form of compensation for the inconvenience I experienced. Please let me know how you intend to resolve this matter. I look forward to your prompt response. Best regards, Jiwon Park 1556876344

Air conditioning would randomly stop working in the middle of the night multiple times leaving me and my girlfriend waking up in 30 degree heat covered in sweat wondering wtf is...

It was the worst part of my trip and an experience I wouldn’t...

From the moment we arrived things have been awful and I wholeheartedly do NOT recommend this horrible place. I’m normally not one to do this as I used to work in the hospitality business for over 30 years but this one I cannot just let slide.

Our room was not ready upon arrival and so we walked into a dirty room. Was going to be fixed quickly - took hours! They wanted 2000 baht per room as a deposit and needed to be in cash. We refused as this is our last stop in Thailand and as a result checkin took more than half an hour as the staff seemed to need to do a ‘crisis’ meeting on how to solve this as we could leave a credit card deposit but this would take 3 months to clear after we leave…. 🤔 So we refused that option as well. We ended up giving Euro in cash which they would return in Baht which again we refused and have now been told we will get it back as we left it in envelopes in Euro.

New Year dinner and ‘celebration’ was nothing but a money scam with the worst ‘band’ ever, a hostess that was screaming all the time and telling us continuously how thankful WE should be for the general manager ALLOWING us to party….. 😁 Excuse me who’s paying a shitload of money for food that on top had us hanging over the toilet all night? By the time we made it to dessert - the good stuff was gone and all we had left was cheap ice cream. The rest was finished we were told. Entertainment was awful - 4 year olds do a better job singing…. - and so we decided to head into town after all that outrageous money spent….. There prices for alcohol were also more decent as at the resort also those were a complete rip-off. We came back at 12:15 at the resort and the restaurant was empty - not surprisingly. People were genuinely glad the ordeal was over we learned at breakfast today from others.

Today we had no housekeeping come and clean our room. We noticed around 3pm and asked at least 4 times for someone to come clean. Finally around 7pm someone came to give her a ‘wipe’ and when asked for clean sheets we got a big sigh from the housekeeper. It seems our entire floor did not get any housekeeping service this day…. After the guy did our room we asked to service the children’s room and were told he would come back later - no way and we made him clean their room right after with more sighs coming our way.

Staff really do not speak any proper English and as a result service just isn’t working properly. They have no idea what they are being asked. The smiles are amazing but no understanding of what’s to happen.

Every time we walked up to reception or were waiting for a van to take us up the hill to our rooms there literally was somebody yelling, screaming or upset about something. I suggest the GM deals with the many issues he has operationally rather than be glorified on stage and asking us to thank HIM by his ‘queen from the Philippines’ (as our hostess labeled herself and called her own opening ‘performance’ mesmerizing….) for a horrible experience we and many other guests seem to be having.

Especially these days the room rates were not low or cheap and I would expect decent service which has not been the case at all. All we hear all the time is ‘sorry’ and ‘ok’ with a lot of hands being folded, but no solutions or pro-active behavior. We had such a wonderful trip the last 2,5 weeks but this one unfortunately puts a big disappointment on our last stop. There are some other very nice resorts around such as the Four Points, Graceland, Novotel and I strongly suggest to go there and skip this disgrace...
