Dear Owner,
I hope this message finds you well. My partner and I recently had the opportunity to dine at your establishment, Amrtsr Restaurant, located at 239 Kamala-Patong Road, Pa Tong, Kathu District, Phuket 83150, Thailand. Prior to our visit, we were drawn to the restaurant due to the positive reviews on Google.
Regrettably, our experience fell short of expectations in terms of service and cleanliness. Upon arrival, we were not greeted by the staff. Furthermore, the dining area and utensils did not appear to be properly cleaned. More concerning was the observable behavior of some staff members, which compromised the overall dining experience.
Specifically, one server was noticed picking her nose and then handling our food without changing gloves or washing her hands. Another staff member in the kitchen was seen wiping plates with a cloth and, in between, used the same cloth to wipe his face. Additionally, one staff member kept staring at me throughout my meal, which made me uncomfortable. Basic services such as clearing starter plates and providing utensils were also not adequately attended to.
However, I would like to emphasize that the quality of the food itself was not the issue. Our disappointment stemmed from the staff's behavior and the lack of attention to basic cleanliness and customer service standards.
Given the circumstances, I would rate our experience poorly, potentially even below one star. I hope you will take our feedback seriously and implement necessary measures to improve service and...
Read moreI am a chef from Spain and the reviews I write are based on the whole experience of the dinner. Well, really disappointed for the service behaviour, which is nothing else but the management’s mirror. 3 times they came to ask if the food was good, turning around even before we could answer. When we asked the bill, before bringing it to us they asked us to rate them on google maps and stayed there looking at our cellphones screen and telling us how we should do it, even asking us to write their name. This was Really inappropriate and lacking manners. The pressure went up when insisted us to, once they had the 5 stars, in pressing the “Publish” button standing up next to us and staring at our phone. Here we told him to please bring the bill we asked a while ago and waited for him to leave away. When he finally left after insisting again on asking us to press the “Publish” button, which we did not, we deleted the review including his name and the fake stars, and did not publish it. Instead we are writing this one. The food is more the less the same quality you can get in any average Indian restaurant in Thailand. Not much better not much worse. Really. So, be careful with trusting the ratings for they are the product of a dishonest procedure towards other restaurants that have a kind, less aggressive and...
Read moreI recently dined at Amritsar Restaurant and had an unforgettable experience, thanks largely to our waitress, Manisha. From the moment we walked in, her warm smile and genuine hospitality made us feel welcome. She was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect.
Manisha recommended the Amritsari Kulcha and Butter Chicken, and wow—both dishes were bursting with authentic flavors! Her patience in explaining the spices and preparation methods added a personal touch to our meal. Despite the restaurant being busy, she checked in regularly without being intrusive, and her efficiency in service was impressive.
What stood out most was her kindness. As a regular customer, she even remembered my preference for extra mint chutney! The ambiance of the restaurant, combined with Manisha’s exceptional service, made this visit truly special.
If you’re looking for delicious North Indian cuisine served with heart, Amritsar Restaurant is a must-visit—and ask for Manisha! She’s a gem and a credit to the team. Highly recommend!
Thank you, Manisha, for making our evening so...
