We booked a quick yet comfortable overnight stay at J Inspired in Pattaya on 12/23 to 12/24 the day before Xmas. It was quite a memorable but short stay regardless it was a very comfortable one for us. We paid around 1000 baht without breakfast and its all worth it. The hotel is a walking distance away from Terminal 21 mall, one of my favourite malls in Thailand. Parking is also free so good choice for those with cars like us. Initially, we went in to the other J inspired hotel so make sure to park and check-in properly at the right one. They have 3 adjacent hotels and the other one is across the street. Check-in is a bit slow for us because we booked it last minute and it hasn't reflected properly on their system yet via Agoda. They have a huge lobby with lounge at the center and open air access to their 2 big pools right at the center courtyard. Restaurant is also located at the other end from the check-in. Parking is at the basement and lifts at the center of the lobby. We booked a Deluxe city view room with a double bed, balcony, living room, kitchenette and shower with bath tub. The room is very big which is quite similar to a service apartment. This room is perfect for a family of four and those who love to have some hot warm meals in the room because they provide microwave oven. I loved that they provide bath tub of their deluxe rooms because its my favourite especially when I get to chance booking Japanese hotels or 4/5 star hotels. It relaxes me using the hot tub especially before sleeping. I even had it tried 2x for an overnight stay. Toilet/Shower is quite big just like the room and they provide some ample toiletries which I like. The one thing that surprised me is the Kitchenette which is not usual for 4 star hotels. We didn't use it because of our short stay but hopefully next time when we come back. They have mini-bar with coffee/tea/drinks, mini-fridge, safety lock, office table, luggage compartment, wardrobe, huge mirror and lots of cabinets. WIFI is quite fast and they provide TV with cable/local channels. They have a couple of power outlets on near the office table/TV but on the bed just on the left side near the sofa. I love the wooden floor and light blue concept of the bedroom. View from the balcony is not that stunning but its ok. Overall, we loved the room for a quick overnight stay it made an impression on us. I took a quick morning swim before we checked out and the pool is pretty clean, lots of beach chairs and have a good view. I tried only the pool beside our hotel. Check out is pretty quick and smooth and we had a great time, felt refreshed and relaxed for a just a quick overnight stay at J Inspired hotel in Pattaya. This one goes for a revisit again especially if I need that hot relaxing tub again. Next time we would like to try their breakfast, room service and some other amenities which we failed to try due to time constraint. So there, if you plan a quick overnight stay, or try a hot tub and must have a kitchenette for your family then this is the place to go - J Inspired Hotel Pattaya you will...
Read moreAfter staying in Central Pattaya for a week , we tried to book a month's stay in the quieter area of North Pattaya. There were only the hotels of J's hotel group were available and finally understood why. We picked the believed newer hotel, J Inspired Hotel, which was another wing indeed, was opposite to the J hotel (main wing) sharing all facilties and amenities while the J Residence was located at the other opposite road. ||Location was actually good , i.e. at a quieter area but within walking distance to the shopping mall & eateries of Terminal 21, Central Marina & China Town where you could get on a shared truck (songthews) to the Central Pattaya.||Decent spacious pool view room with comfy bed, thick towels and a big balcony are the pluses. Bottled water and 2 coffee sachets were replenished daily. No teabags. Only one single-ply toilet roll was provided. ||Constant noises throught days and nights was the biggest issue. Thin walls between room, guests loud talking, shouting and staff's' trolleys at the corridor from 08:30 a. m. Then, kids playing and screaming at the pool's water slides after breakfast. Guests slammed doors from early to late after mid-night to 04:00 a. m. (could hear with earplugs on). Hotel also held fun fair's stalls, mini disco and outdoor cinema for kids at the pool area on Saturday from 15:30 to evening. This hotel was targets family with kids like a club resort on weekends. Some fellow guests shouted from their high floor's balcony to their friends at swimming pool. There was also a week of drilling work to be carried out in a hotel room straight ahead of the sun lounges. ||Staff were not unfriendly but not friendly either. Reception staff never made eye contacts or greeted even when they were not busy. Same as other hotel staff except the older security guard / life guard (probably the best staff who dared to implement the hotel's rules to remind guests) . Most staff could not speak English . Everything seemed to be an issue. Extra clothes hangers was a no first. We asked to borrow a knife to be kept in our room and were told there was a charge of 150 bahts by the restaurant's supervisor. There was also a full list of charges for any damage of a specfic item in your room which would be deducted from your deposit. It felt like it was an institution. Room was cleaned daily. For the first few days, it were very clean and then very little was done for the rest of days. Also, no net curtains in room and staying in with natural light was imoossible unless you prepared to be overlooked by guests of the opposite hotel block. ||This family hotel is not for us. But do stay here if you tick the following boxes:||- get up early and go to bed late|- stay only for a few days but not for a long stay like us|- come as a family with children having fun is top priority|- are insensitive to noises|- do not need any reception's assistance or...
Read moreDo not stay here. Where do I even start, rooms are extremely unclean - pictures show under the bed is very dusty and has pencils and paper, even hair and hairbands. As well as behind a ledge there is more dust and even a SPIDER, it’s disgusting.
When we went to use the shower, the water leaked out of the shower and we had to use a towel to soak it up. Even when using the soap they have provided, it’s 90% water and 10% soap, same with the shampoo.
The bedsheets are very thin and feels as if they are wet, they are not comfortable at all. For the price of 5000+ BHAT, I feel that the least they can offer is a comfortable bed and soap which isn’t mostly water?
Also not to mention, when first checking in they brought us to the wrong room which was just being cleaned as we walked to it. We were so confused as it was 2 hours past check in time. Since then we have been in 3 different rooms. The front staff is rude and inconsiderate and laughed with each other as we came back to the lobby from being led to the wrong room. The tv is extremely blurry and pixelated.
When we called the lobby to ask kindly for an iron and ironing board, they replied with “Yes, we are bringing it”, except it took them almost half an hour, we were waiting around as we were going to go out and needed it. We were patient at first but it just took longer and longer we ended up having to call lobby 3 times just to get the iron.
After had experienced poor service already, I decided to read some reviews about this hotel, reading that cleaners search bags and things have been stolen before. I was shocked but never thought it would happen to us. Our valuables and bags are always locked when we leave the room, except for one night where we left ONE valuable in a toiletries bag in the bathroom which was a Chanel perfume. As we were just packing our things up and making sure everything is still here, we came to find that the perfume is no where to be seen and we know exactly where it was left. After checking all of our belongings 3+ times, there is nothing else to think than that it was stolen by a staff member as when we left the room there was cleaners walking up and down the hallways knowing that we had just left.
We decided to check out the swimming pool and there is a kids area with a slide but it is deep?
As I was sitting out on the balcony, I saw that there was a rat walking around outside by the restaurant and pool area, shocking to see this after everything that has happened, Cherry on top I suppose! I have also listed a photo there it is very faint but it was running around for a long time until it climbed...
