Sunshine Guest House — Hotel in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

This place is sunshine Guesthouse and Sunshine hotel. They have a sign for both names outside and you can book their rooms (at different prices) under the different names on at least two of the online booking sites as we we're actually debating the two as if they were different places when picking.

Cleanliness: 3.5/5 Room was perfectly serviceable but building work was being done so the reception was dusty and as our shoes came off at the door often needed dusting before use.

Room - basic with ensuite: 3.5/5 Everything you need but not pushing the boat out. Main downside is there is no elevator and if like us you end up on the top floor you'll get to enjoy 4 flights of stairs every time you go to or from your room.

Staff: 4/5 Reception lady was nice, quick check-in.

Only real downside is that one of the staff owns one of those terrifyingly ugly small dogs that barks and postures as if it's a giant wolf, and not a teddy bear size genetic failure. The thing genuinely tried to scare me off when we checked in, which was a little comical.

Yes, I am marking the dog as part of the staff experience as it was part of check-in.

Location: subjective to score The hotel was a 20 minute walk from the main town but a literal 2 minute walk to the good part of the beach.

While the town centre backs onto the same long beach the quality of the sand, the sea and amount of space you'll get to yourself drastically improves the further away from town, peaking around where this hotel is.

So to score; if you want to spend time on a beach and don't mind walking 20 minutes each way to and from town for every meal then this location is 5/5. However if you'd rather be close to the nightlife and food then this is a 2/5 location. I'd personally...

My friends and I had a super bad experience here! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻😡||The service was extremely bad. We were very upset after we came to here.||My friends and I booked a triple room for 3 people on the hotels.com.||But after we came to the hotel, they didn't let us to check-in and asked us for extra payment cuz they said the money was only paid for 2 people.||However, the contract showed on the Hotels.com was paid for 3 people already. ||It's not our problem because we had already paid for the triple room! 😡||(You can see it on the picture.)||||But the hotel insisted that we can't to stay there for 3 people.||But how can we only stay for 2 people??||We had 3 people! Das Sunshine Guesthouse ist eine sehr freundliche Unterkunft mit sehr netten Mitarbeitern. Die Lage des Hotels war für uns perfekt. Es liegt in einer Seitenstraße, umgeben von anderen kleinen Guesthäusern und Restaurants. Der Strand ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt und auch zum Shopping Center Market Village ist es zu Fuß nicht weit. Zu den Nachtmärkten bzw. dort wo der Trubel ist, müßte man sich vielleicht ein Taxi nehmen. Mit der Unterkunft waren wir sehr zufrieden, einfach, aber sauber, und es war alles vorhanden. Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer ganz oben mit Balkon, mit einem Doppelbett und einem Extrabett für unsere Tochter. Ansonsten gab es einen großen Schrank, einen Kühlschrank und einen Fernseher. Das Bad war Ok und ausreichend, prima Dusche, nur wenig Ablage für persönliche Utensilien. Für 3 Nächte aber völlig ausreichend. Die Mitarbeiter im Guesthouse waren überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend, Erwähnen muss man, dass während unseres Aufenthalts auch mehrere Familien im Guesthouse untergekommen sind, also sehr familenfreundlich. Zimmer wurde jeden Tag gereinigt und Handtücher gewechselt. Für den Strand haben wir sogar extra Handtücher bekommen. Im Guesthouse wird kein Frühstück angeboten, dafür gibt es aber Möglichkeiten in den anderen Restaurants, oder im Restaurant unten am Strand. Dies haben wir gemacht, es war genial, früh morgens am Strand zu sitzen und den Kaffee und das Frühstück zu genießen. Man muss halt alles éinzeln von der Karte bestellen. Ansonsten kann man dort am Strand günstig Liegen mit Schirm mieten und den Tag am Strand verbringen. Uns hat der Strand sehr gefallen, Nicht zu voll, da es nicht mehr so voll mit Liegen gestellt werden darf, nur noch hiinten eine Reihe, genial. Das Meer war super, flaches Wasser, gut zum Baden, keine Quallen etc. alles sehr sauber. Das einzige, das sehr nervig war, sind die Strandverkäufer, die alle Nase lang vorbei kommen. Ständig was anderes verkaufen wollen. Zum Shopping Center war es wie schon erwähnt auch nicht weit. Uns gefällt es dort immer ganz gut, darum immer ein Muss für uns dort vorbei zu schauen. Es gibt dort auch viel Möglichkeiten zum Shoppen, viele Restaurants, Cafes, Drogerien, etc.und natürlich der Tesco Lotus Markt. Zu den Nachtmärkten ist es schon weiter, wobei wir es trotzdem gemacht haben, und gelaufen sind. Wenn man gut zu Fuß ist, kein Problem. Uns hat es wieder sehr gut in Hua Hin gefallen, und auch das Sunshine Guesthouse war prima, wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und können es...
