We left the hotel that our tour group booked for us (it was a nightmare) and found this incredible piece of heaven. It was just a 3 min walk away from the others & the entrance to the Sukhothai Historical Park. There are lots of shops, restaurants & bike rentals just a very short walk away. It is on a side road. Which made it nice and quiet. ||||Thank gosh they had one room left for the two nights we were there. The owner was the sweetest person I had ever met. So helpful, accommodating, friendly and spoke excellent english. She even let us tour the room before choosing to stay. I was very nervous after the hotel we just came from. ||||We stayed in the 1st room (I believe there was 3 rooms). It was so clean, welcoming and well laid out. We had a nice big comfortable king bed. There was even something on the door that didn't allow it to have a gap. The sheets felt like Egyptian cotton. You didn't hear any noise. There was a lovely painting on the wall and towel folded into animals and flowers. The Bathroom was very clean, it didn't take must to get hot water. She had all the important things. Shampoo, body wash, hand soap, nice fluffy towels, shower cap & a blow dryer. There was a good size fridge with water that was stocked each day. The wifi worked perfectly. TV & AC worked great. Each room had 2 chairs and a table out side the door. There was morning breakfast and fresh fruit, coffee & tea from 7am-10am.||||The lobby and grounds are well maintained. You can tell they take pride In this guesthouse. You could get a Thai or oil massage, or foot massage on site. She was more than happy to order you a tuk tuk or arrange a tour for you or anything else she could help with.||||There is no pool here but there are a few in town you can pay a small fee to go to. ||||I believe we paid $25CAD a night and it was worth every penny! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Sukhothai. I was sad to leave this...
Read moreSpent two nights at the Oldtown Boutique House while visiting the Sukhothai Historical Park. When you arrive you will be greeted by the owner who speaks excellent english. She will sit down with you and give you a complete overview of her property, the historical area and answer any questions you might have. She can and will make any arrangements you need for transportation around the city and including return transportation back to Phitsanulok. (We caught a train there). Her B&B is about 120 meters away from the entrance to the park and National museum and incredibly convenient if you are there for the park. |Her property consists of three individual modern guest rooms and each have their own bathroom with shower. There is a nice common sitting area on the back of the building where a simple self service breakfast is provided. The owner’s property is right next door and she has a bell for you to ring if you need her for anything. |If you are looking for a super nice B&B close to the park this is a excellent choice.||P.S. The morning of our departure the owner also made arrangements for a Thai massage performed by her mother and another masseuse in a dedicated room on her property. The price was very good and massage...
Read moreI'll give 10 stars if possible. A simple accommodation which is spotlessly clean and strategically located. The Central Zone of Sukhothai Historical Park, Ramkhamhaeng Museum, 7-11, restaurants, Amazon Cafe, and bus stops are all only a short walk from the hotel. I paid separately for a breakfast package (around 140/150 THB) and I didn't regret it. The owner cooked the breakfast herself and that was totally good! The owner and her family are all friendly and helpful. She helped me booking a tuk-tuk for me hunting sunrise and also a car to Phitsanulok train station. The price quoted is reasonable and the service is also excellent and honest. I highly recommend this place and just contact the owner if you need extra services (e.g. breakfast, tuk-tuk or taxi service). Just writing this review makes me wanting to come back to Sukhothai and staying at this...
