I had high expectations for Bangkok Midtown Hotel, but my experience was deeply disappointing. From the moment I checked in, it felt as though the staff lacked any genuine care for their guests.
The room itself was in unacceptable condition. The bathtub had stagnant water, the hairdryer was dirty with visible stains, and there was only one towel provided. When I requested additional towels, it took three attempts before I received any, and even then, they were old and unclean.
The staff’s attitude was even more concerning. Front desk personnel avoided eye contact and seemed disinterested in assisting. When I asked questions, some went unanswered, leaving me feeling ignored. A staff member guiding me to my room stopped multiple times to handle personal matters, showing a complete lack of professionalism.
Adding to the frustration, I was placed in a corner room with a view of rundown buildings, which was far from the premium experience I expected for the price I paid. Despite raising these issues with the management, no one took action or even acknowledged my complaints.
What disappointed me most wasn’t just the poor facilities or the unprofessional service—it was the lack of warmth or hospitality. Hotels should make their guests feel welcome and valued, but here, I felt neglected and disregarded.
I hope the hotel and the Baiyoke Group take these concerns seriously to improve their services and retrain their staff. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and professional...
Read moreDo not stay at this hotel. It was the worst experience I've ever had in any of my trips and I do travel quite a lot for pleasure and for work. When we arrived, we already noticed the staff was very unwelcoming. We get to the room and it's the filthiest room I've ever seen: the bed clothing, the towels, every piece of furniture, the floor... Everything was dirty. When we left to visit Bangkok, there were a young man and a young woman at the desk. I told the woman that our room was very dirty and if there was something that could be done about it. She laughed at my face and looked at the other guy, not understanding or pretending not to understand me. I repeated the question and she laughed at me again. Finally the guy looked at me and said "what do you want? Cleaning?" like yes? He said they'll send someone to clean (mind you, they only changed the towels). We left the hotel and felt very disappointed. Being treated like that kind of ruined it our day and we really didn't want to stay there. We contacted with Trip via chat and they very kindly helped us contacting their partner and got us a refund for other two nights we had to spend there. Also, it obviously reached the hotel as they were waiting for us when we got back with the refund ready and treated us very differently than before. Even the doorman was eager to help us get our luggage to our room, which he didn't when we arrived. We didn't even spend the night there, took our things and left. I feel like this hotel shouldn't...

I have just checked in at about 1430hrs. Got in to my room, unpacked my bags and was getting changed when a male staff swipe my room door and came in to my room. Mind you, I am a woman.. and the fact that random male staff walking in to my room (didn’t even knocked on the door) I just felt very unsafe. And where the hell is my dignity? I got dressed and went out, confronted the male staff who was at the corridor. He said sorry. This was good.
Then I went to the front reception around 1530hrs. Gave details of the happening to a person looking like manager. Initially, she didn’t apologize and instead said I should have placed ‘do not disturb sign’. And added on saying a staff can go around offering tea or coffee so they can sometimes open the doors.
I extremely angry and the response so I questioned that manager, So are your staff allowed to just walk in to vacant rooms without even knocking? So are you implying that while we are asleep at night, your staff can walk in to my room? So are you saying that it is okay for your staff members to come in to my room just half an hour after my check in time?
She then apologized. I felt like she just said sorry and didn’t mean it
How hard was it to apologies and give reassurance that they will be more mindful about it. Absolutely leaving this...
