Urban Jungle Coffee Shop Style
Piccolo Vicolo in Bangkok is a hidden gem that boasts a distinctive urban jungle style, creating a chill and relaxed atmosphere. The abundance of green plants surrounding the shop, coupled with the industrial building concept, provides a unique and aesthetically pleasing setting. Soft music playing in the background adds to the overall chill vibes, making it an ideal spot for a laid-back coffee experience.
While the coffee at Piccolo Vicolo is rated as okay, the real stars are the enticing pastry options. The flourless chocolate cake with raspberry jam is an absolute delight, delivering a burst of delicious flavors. On the other hand, the butter croissant left something to be desired, being overly flaky and dry.
The shop's somewhat hidden location, accessible only by motorcycle or on foot, adds an adventurous touch to the visit. Although the customer service is deemed so-so, the overall ambiance and the nearby cool restaurants and shops linked to the same building make Piccolo Vicolo a noteworthy destination. It's recommended for those looking to explore different "junglish" vibes while enjoying a cup of coffee in Bangkok. Despite some minor drawbacks, Piccolo Vicolo offers a unique experience worth...

Piccolo Vicolo is a quaint mid-sized cafe which comfortably seats probably 15-18pax inside, airconditioned and another 8-10pax outside, albeit humidly so as the ceiling fans at the outside seating area doesnt really help much with body heat regulation.

Don't sleep on their Dirty Coffee either – it's one of the best ones we've had in Bangkok during our stay. We were really impressed by the Dirty Coffee we decided to buy and sample some of their beans to bring back...

Definitely. Surprisingly good? Also yes. We split a slice of pumpkin pie, read on our Kindles, and soaked up the vibe that somehow runs at half-speed compared to Bangkok. Then, right on cue, it started raining, which just added to the whole vibe. Of course, this place attracts the laptop crowd, and the usual parade of people pacing from corner to corner, chasing their “gram-worthy” shots. As much as we tried to resist, we ended up doing the same—so, guilty as charged! After this blissful half-day, we took a relaxed walk over to Banthat Thong. With the rain easing up and the sun finally deciding to chill, it was a pretty pleasant stroll. We’ll probably grab some dessert and head home, but honestly, this ranks as one of my best coffee shop experiences in...
