Located just a few minutes walk from the Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre; this hotel is centrally located in the shopping street! However, there are pros and cons of the location which will be discussed below.
As for the room, we got a deluxe room with King bed. It is an open layout design, but you can pull out the dividers for the bathroom. However, the dividers do have gaps inside them (a Floral design actually) so you can still see through the bathroom from your bed. Room was spacious and decorated well! Bed was comfy, bathrobe was of good quality and the toiletries are decent. Downsides were the pillows which were very flat and that the aircon only worked on one side despite the aircon vents lining one long row of the wall.
Service of the staff was decent, although there was a communication error between the reception and the restaurant when we were told breakfast was not included for our room when it actually was. Food selection was good for a boutique hotel and mostly had Western food with a few local dishes. The bacon was deliciously crispy!
As for location, it is convenient for those who are fit and willing to use public transport like the BTS. You can also walk to the Siam shopping malls, MBK etc from the hotel. However, it was incredibly hard to get to this place via Grab because of the insane traffic at the shopping street. With that, it is also difficult to order a Grab from the hotel to go anywhere else because Grab drivers were not willing to go to the hotel because of its location and going through traffic to pick customers up.
Overall, still a pretty good boutique hotel, but think twice before staying at this...
Read moreHad a nice experience up until check out. The day we checked in we went to the pool at 430pm. There was a big sign that said beer buy 1 get 1 free at 5pm-8pm. When I got to the pool I ordered a watermelon smoothie. Got my bill paid 110baht gave 120 tipped 10. Then i meet a nice Australian gentleman there. He was drinking beer so I told him at 5pm I would join him. He ordered the the first round. The menu said 200 baht so I pulled out 200 baht and he wouldn't take my money. He ordered another round and after I went up to my room. So i total of beers was 4 and the beer promotion on the big sign which i mentioned to the bar staff the promotion says buy 1 get 1 free and they knodded in agreement. Then fast forward to check out the next day I was given a 250 baht bill for a beer. That was so ridiculous I got mad. We booked 3 rooms and my brother in law in 1 of the rooms drank a beer and didn't tell me. Which upon check out I said we didn't drink any beers which I was embarrassed to have said this when 1 was drank. My sincerest apology to the hotel for this. But to give me a bill 50 baht over menu price for a beer the day before which the Australian gentleman ordered during haply hour so me and him could drink was disorganized and petty. To indirectly insinuate I skipped out on my tab was offensive. For being a 5 star hotel there needs to be a better system for guests so this never happens again. I ended up insisting I would not pay and the manager said he'd pay and we left. Which is why I gave back 2 stars on my review. If I paid for beer which shouldn't have been charged to begin with I would of...
Read moreOur 4 nights at Hua Chang Heritage Hotel was nothing short of magical. I loved how responsive they were in assuring me that they will do their best to try and accommodate my particular requests and when we did check-in to the room, everything was according to what I envisioned - a King Sized bed with a view facing the Hua Chang Pier. These were just the side features, upon entering, the room was just breathtaking. Very elegantly designed and everything was well put and in pristine condition. What you see in the pictures doesn’t do justice to the rooms. It looks even better in person. The colors and the furniture were just very romantic and cozy.||To say that the room was the highlight would be an injustice to the other amenities and especially to the staff! I had reservations about making a reservation because it was right beside the BTS and the noise can be bothersome especially for light sleepers. That was not the case and even if it was beside the major highway, you can rarely hear the traffic in the room or anywhere in the hotel. The pool and dining area were very picturesque and the restaurant, Miss Siam is not to be missed. ||The staff were all amazing and kind, from the receptionist to the doorman, to the waiters and cleaners, everyone was pleasant and accommodating. And amazingly enough, when we said we had an early morning excursion, they prepared breakfast boxes for us which included a large sandwich, slices of fruit, a bottle of water and a bottle of juice. Very thoughtful of them.||It was a perfect 4 nights for our honeymoon. Highly...
