UPDATE: The hotel manager has reached out and expressed sincere apologies after this incident. They promised to have their staff go through training in order to provide consistent high standards service to customers.
The manager Ammy explained that this was due to the staff did not know if the 19th floor room was available upon first check and they wanted to get us check in to the first available room. She also kindly arranged us room upgrade with better views for the rest of our stay. She has shown me the true Thai hospitality. She provided me with 5-star service.
With the hotel’s prompt action and sincere altitude to resolve the issue. I am hopeful that all staff will be able to provide consistent high standard service soon.

The room is spacious and good location close to several shopping malls. However, the staff were not friendly and lied to us. I believe this hotel has management issues.
We booked the suite with breakfast through the official website and asking for room with better views. When we first checked-in in the morning, we were given room at 19th floor (this hotel has floor 14-25). The floor was not super high, but we thought 19th was not too bad so did not insist further. The staff told us the room will not be ready until 2pm. So we went out.
When we came back at around 3pm, they changed the room to 14th floor (the lowest floor at this hotel). When we question why we cannot keep the original room at 19th floor, the staff asked whether we got confirmation we got the room at 19th. This was ridiculous as the room number showed up both at the paper we signed at the beginning and on our luggage deposit ticket. The staff tried again insist that they did not orally confirm the number and they can swap the room at anytime. Now no room at higher floors were available. The original room was already assigned to other clients who checked in earlier in the afternoon.
Then we told them it is unfair to get assigned a lower floor, the staff questioned us again on whether we have requested a higher floor. If we did not - they might move us to lower floor. The staff ignored the paper work signed earlier with room number , our booking notes of requesting nice views, and she just start blaming us not requesting (which is not true) instead of apologizing for their behavior. This is unacceptable.
What is even weird is, when we insisted this was not acceptable, the staff then gave us the key to the originally assigned room. So she LIED to us when she said the original room was not available just a few minutes ago!
I don’t understand how this can happen and what was her motivation of lying to the customer who will stay 5 days at this hotel and has membership with this hotel group - is it because she want to leave room with better views to other clients that she thinks has higher values?
We were so exhausted after this whole conversation. And when we got back to the room, we realized that the staff also forgot to introduce us to the facilities of this hotel. We booked the room with breakfast - but no one has told us where and when to have the breakfast. WiFi password was not shared. We learned from comments on Google Maps that this hotel provides complimentary tuktuk service via the app, but no staff has told us about this nor gave us the QR code for the room to log into the app. We eventually rang the front desk to get this information, but again it is a failure if when checking in, no one informed us upfront about this basic information.
Overall very disappointing service. I did not feel that I...
Read moreI’ve been browsing/touring hotels within Bangkok since Summer of 2021 for my wedding guests for our wedding in February 2024. I stumbled upon VIE Hotel back in February 2023. I did a trial stay and toured with my mom and immediately said YES!
Vie hotel is 5 stars all around from their staff, services, to their rooms, gyms, location, and more. Keep in mind I toured well known hotels such as Anantara, Siam Kiempinski, Mandarin Oriental, etc, and I am overjoyed I went with the VIE and not the others. I’ve learned that the hospitality given to guests in a boutique hotel is better and feels more genuine compared to bigger hotels/resorts.
VIE is located in the Pathumwan neighborhood of Bangkok AKA in the heart of the shopping district near Siam paragon, MBK, etc. I specifically chose this area due to its enormous population of English speakers because its a tourist area, walking distance to the famous malls, easy access to public transportations such as the MRT & BTS, and most importantly being in central Bangkok making travel to any other neighborhoods fast and efficient (as much as Bangkok traffic would allow).
The staff at this hotel had amazing service, attentive to every single guests staying here, going above and beyond. An example would be me and my husband coming back late after a night out and front desk staff already running to press the elevator to our floor so we didn’t have to wait (they knew our floor without asking). The daily international breakfast Buffett was not only a beautiful setup/display but it actually tasted 10/10. That’s something you don’t find now a days, usually one gets gets sacrifice.
The rooms, and other amenities were so nice and so clean, great square footage. We got surprised with a free upgrade to a deluxe suite as a wedding present which was so lovely making our start to our wedding week even better.
My family lives in Bangkok 20 minutes south of the VIE and I always stay there when I come back to visit Thailand, however my husband and I promised each other to make it a point to stay a the VIE for a few days in the future, so we can continuously experience this amazing hotel.
Honorable mentions to Khun Su & Khun Khem for being so patient and accommodating to our guests and ourselves through the whole planning process that was over the course of the year. They helped with reservations, cancellations, adjustments, suggestions on things related to our wedding such as wedding dress shops, bus transportations, day trips, rentals of their ballroom, dome yard beer garden, etc.
Big shoutout to Bellman Khun Benz, we really wanted to give him a bigger tip as a gesture for our appreciation, but on our last day he was not working. We promise to come back to give our thanks appropriately. To the management team at VIE, Khun Benz deserves a promotion and/or raise, he goes above and beyond for all the guests staying at the VIE and even witness him helping guests who weren’t staying there if they had questions, or need help with anything.
In conclusion, Thank you thank you for everything to every single staff member at the VIE. 10000/10 hotel. We cannot wait to be back!!

Read moreOverview: My recent stay at Hotel VIE Bangkok was outstanding, highlighted by exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and thoughtful amenities. Despite a minor issue with the pool, the overall experience was deserving of a five-star rating.
Check-In and Check-Out: The check-in and check-out processes were seamless, thanks to the assistance of Kaew. Her efficiency and helpfulness made a great first and last impression.
Room Upgrade: As a Platinum member of Accor, I was thrilled to receive an upgrade from a Deluxe Suite to an Executive Suite. The room was spacious, clean, and modern, providing a luxurious and comfortable stay. However, I did experience some difficulty with the bathroom door, particularly the closet and shower doors, which were quite heavy.
Amenities and Service: The breakfast was special, even though the variety was limited. The restaurant staff were extremely helpful, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. A special mention to Nintaphorn, who sent a birthday cake to my room and was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Additionally, Pluem's assistance in helping me find my mom and son after visiting the Piano Lounge, and driving the tuk-tuk to transfer my family to Siam Paragon Mall, was greatly appreciated. His helpfulness and kindness truly stood out.
Pool: While the pool area is beautiful, there is a safety concern. The pool has sharp edges along the border and stairs, which caused my wife to get hurt. I strongly advise the hotel to address this issue to ensure the safety of all guests, especially children.
Overall Impression: The staff at Hotel VIE Bangkok were excellent, providing exceptional service throughout our stay. Despite the pool safety concern, the overall experience was truly five-star.
Tips for Future Guests: As a Platinum member, enjoy the benefits of possible room upgrades. Take note of the pool safety and supervise children closely. The breakfast, though limited in variety, is delicious and the staff are very accommodating.
Conclusion: Hotel VIE Bangkok offers a luxurious stay with top-notch service, spacious and modern rooms, and thoughtful amenities. Despite a minor issue with pool safety, I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return. This truly is a five-star...
