Not happy with this place. The room condition feels more like it belongs to a 2* hotel than a 4* hotel.
Cons:
Noisy doors The door is noisy and loose from the door frame. There was a time when within one hour it sounds as if someone was moving the door 4x.
When someone passes along the corridor the door moved
When someone from a nearby room closes their door the door to our room moved.
When someone used the bathroom the swing movement also causes the main door to move.
I've been woken up at 7am and 4am for two nights straight even with ear plugs on. When I went to complain to the reception she told me a staff would go up to check but he only acknowledged the problem but never provided a solution nor any compensation. Awful service.
The blankets they give are awful and torn. They are also too short and may not cover the feet of some people. I requested the blankets to be replaced but they didn't as I noticed the same stains.
The blankets are three layers which are separated. So I need multiple pulling to cover it over my body as I wanted it.
Their wifi was broken at the first night. The personnel they sent was unhygienic and obviously not well as they kept coughing and sneezing with pleghm and did not mask. What a joke to guest's safety.
In our third night of stay they changed the password to the wifi. Minor inconvenience but still felt had to write it here.
After a few nights the temperature control for their A/C broke. Even when we tried to adjust to a less cold temperature it stayed the same. And with the short and ripped blankets it left my feet cold which woke me up in the middle of the night.
In the corridor they taped a towel on the floor which is slippery when you walk on it. You have to be careful .
Even on the 5th floor the noise from the motorcycles from the roads are still loud and woke me up once or a few times even with ear plugs on
I do not have need of it but the jacuzzi in their pool area was broken during my entire stay
Their mattress spring bed is uneven and old. It was somewhat uncomfortable and hard to sleep in during the first two night as I could feel the coils pressing unevenly on my back as there is only a light layer on top of it
The lobby may look new but their rooms are old and in need of major repairs and renovations
There is no water kettle although they have a water fountain for cold and hot water near the elevator but your room might be far from it.
The hotel corridors look dirty and old. Bedsheets are old, torn, stained and inadequate. Towels and papers on the corridor floors. And the emergency exit/staff doors were chipped and old looking. The floor and room althogether looks rundown.
View is ugly as there is the outdoor stairs right in front of our window.
The bathroom amenities are lacking. They do not provide hair conditioner only body soap, shampoo, and shower gel. The bottles are also messy outside. Makes me think they reuse and refill the bottles themselves. They are also not airtight.
Honestly their rooms are more like up to2* standards and even less in some countries. It is the amenities that bring up a hotel's ratings so they can get away with giving awful rooms to guests.
If you are a light sleeper or don't want to have to deal with a lot of malfunctioning stuffs and need to contact their staff several times then this hotel is an awful choice. They do not also take guest's safety seriously by sending us a coughing unmasked staff.
This hotel is not for you if you are rooming with someone who has different body clocks as you.
Noisy doors. Design flaw Contagious staff Dirty and old Broken stuffs. Wifi, Aircon, blanket. Poor soundproofing. Street noises Lacking customer service. While some of the staff are friendly and helpful enough but some leave more to be desired and tbh there were just too many problems with our room and most of which can't be solved by the staff but...
Read moreIm giving this place a 1 star purely on my experience with booking this hotel.
I booked this hotel about 2-3 weeks before my arrival date and made 1 reservation for 5 nights and made a separate reservation for an extended night to make it 6. I booked through a third party service that provided me an unbelievable nightly rate and it was confirmed and paid for in advance. Upon arrival I was told by the front desk that my reservation was cancelled and it was done by the third party service I booked with. I told them it was not possible as I never received a cancellation notification and when going on the website it still showed as confirmed and paid. They continued for about 10-15mins doing idk what only to tell me that it was cancelled. I got on the phone with the third party service and asked about my reservation to which they notified me that it was not cancelled and it is still confirmed. While on the phone with the 3rd party agent, they decided to call the hotel themselves to verify what the issue was. The agent on the phone told me that the HOTEL cancelled my reservation due to “technical errors”, but they had my extended reservation confirmed which was paid for full price and not a discounted rate. Im sure if i was some random person not educated in the hotel industry it wouldn’t mean a thing, but I know for a FACT the hotel cancelled my reservation due to the rate and discount I received it at and they did not want to provide me a room during their busiest time at the rate I booked, which I would have understand if they notified me of the cancellation earlier. I show up during the busiest time where 90% of hotels are booked and have to book a last minute hotel. Thankfully I found one. During this time my friend who travelled with me was speaking with the bellman and he was aware of the situation and blamed the third party company as well which is odd that a lot of staff aside from front desk know the situation.
Sadly it doesn’t end there……. before all of this happened we had a package delivered to the hotel (thinking we were staying there) while arriving there around 9p we asked about our package. They stated they haven’t received anything, and I told them we would check the following day. Upon arriving to the other hotel that same night around 10-11p I remembered I had the tracking # and realized it was delivered around 2p that same day. We called them from the hotel front desk we booked and asked if they could look for it because it’s confirmed to be delivered, they kept asking for our hotel room number and we told them we weren’t staying there because it was cancelled by the hotel. After much back and forth just trying to confirm they hung up on us. We got so fed up, we asked our current hotel agent if she could help us try to get this resolved because the language barrier was making it hard to explain that we no longer had a reservation and all we were looking for was our package. She made the call for us and in all honesty was looking fed up as we noticed her hands waving around hitting the desk. She was definitely arguing on our behalf and she was truly so much help, when she hung up she told us they confirmed the package and we can pick it up tomorrow……. After telling us they “didn’t” have it. All in all I would not book here in the future, their customer service skills and communication skills are...

It is divided into
GENERAL OBSERVATIONS
THE HOTEL BUILDING The hotel building is slightly old but well kept. The pool was also slightly old but maintained well enough to have a good time.
THE ROOM We opted for the 1 Superior Double room. It was kept clean & tidy. I especially loved the soundproof atmosphere.
ROOM SERVICE They would come and change the sheets, towels and clean up the room every day. We however opted for once every two days. The staff also were very helpful to ensure we got what we wanted.
THE HOTEL STAFF Most of the staff were senior/old staff who had a lot of experience in Bangkok. They were very helpful, kind, knowledgeable and sincere in wanting us to have a great experience. I loved the BellBoys & Concierge staff.
THE BREAKFAST The best part of the whole experience was the morning buffet where they served a great selection of Thai/English breakfast. The breakfast was served from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. My wife and my kid loved to be there every morning.
SHAMPOO, SOAP & TOILETRIES I was aware of the fact that maybe these wouldn’t be enough, so I made sure I purchased my own before arriving at the hotel.
WHAT MADE THIS HOTEL AMAZING METRO CONNECTION The immediate connection to the Metro. You just walk out of the hotel and you have the Rachathewi BTS Station. This will help you travel to any location of your choice and makes life so much more easier.
PLENTY OF VENDORS OUTSIDE THE HOTEL There were two Seven-Eleven Convenience stores including 2 coffee shops, plenty of vendors selling fruits, snacks, soups, grilled items including 2 street-side restaurants which sorted out our need to eat affordable & fresh food
AVAILABILITY OF TAXI Given that we were located near Siam Shopping Mall & MBK Center, you will always get a taxi passing you by.
SHOPPING MALLS The biggest and most popular shopping malls are near you (Siam, MBK & Central). What more can you ask for? And if you are talking about eating food at their food courts - there is such a massive selection, you will never be able to resist the massive selection they offer.
WHAT NEEDS TO WORK ON
SPECIAL REQUESTS WORKING/COMPUTER TABLE Given that I’m a vlogger/blogger, I needed a bigger table or side table. Even after repeated requests, no one was able to help me. Finally, I literally had to drag myself to the Concierge and ask the management to help me out. They were able to give me 3 chairs that I was able to use it as a table for my laptops + camera gear
HOTEL WIFI Not good enough and not stable. The coffee shop internet was better. If you are only looking to browse emails, or chat - this would suffice. However, for youtube content - no.
OVERALL CONCLUSION This hotel offers you great value for money if you are looking for
I will absolutely recommend this hotel and surely consider this hotel for my next visit to...
