After hearing so many wonderful things about Miss Siam Khao Chae at Hua Chang Heritage Hotel, I finally got the chance to try it today, and I’m so glad I did! This delightful dining experience is available from early February to early May. They serve Khao Chae as a buffet, featuring a variety of rare and traditional Thai dishes. The price starts at 990 baht, depending on the day and any current promotions. If you’re thinking about visiting, I highly recommend booking ahead—especially since it can get busy! You can enjoy your meal from 11:30 to 14:30, which gives you plenty of time to savor everything. The Khao Chae is truly as amazing as everyone says, with fragrant rice beautifully arranged using organic flower-scented water. If you stop by in early February, you might be lucky enough to try the delicious Chan Kapho flower-scented water, which adds a lovely touch! The food here is just fantastic. The fried shrimp paste balls are light and tasty, without being oily or fishy. The salted egg yolk was crispy and fragrant, while the stuffed bell peppers had a nice little kick! I also loved the fresh minced pork and salted fish, which were both unique and fresh. You definitely can’t miss the sweet pickled turnips—they're stir-fried in traditional coconut oil and are just scrumptious! And don’t forget to try the stuffed shallots, which are perfectly caramelized and tender. The Thai dishes in the buffet line are all delicious, too. I especially recommend the duck rolled in coriander; it’s got a lovely smoky aroma and pairs so well with fresh coriander and chili paste. If you find yourself craving Khao Chae, this is a spot you don’t want to miss! Enjoy!

Traditional Thai dishes buffet, popular for its “Khao Chae” menu, which serves during Thai summer months (believe this menu is served until end of May). Reservations is required, booked two weeks in advance for weekend seating. When seated, we were served with Khao Chae menu with sophisticated presentation! Aside from this some other dishes such as pad Thai, Thai rice noodle with different toppings ( green curry, red curry, ขนมจีนซาวน่ำ) as well as appetizers and other Thai dishes. Food line are well maintained on refill food items throughout the time that we were there. Staff were attentive. Recommend if you like traditional Thai food.
