We booked two nights in this hotel. We had good reviews from friends and we were very excited to go. The hotel seemed nice, cozy, and perfectly located in the center of the city just on a beautiful beach.||But the horror started few minutes after we checked in, where there were no stuff to welcome or take care of you. No clean rooms even after 2 hours of check in. We were asked to go the beach until the rooms are ready. The pool is very dirty and I would say dangerous for people to swim in it. The beach is very nice but very dirty with beach bar leftovers, we hardly found a good place to stay.||Rooms are ready but no towels. We only had the towels the second day at night and only when we went and asked for them like 10 times.||The food is very standard, no variation and very cheap.||Always very few stuff members, so no much help. And the stuff there is not helpful at all and know nothing and some of them are rude as well.||The BIG HORROR the next day is no water. So no towels, no water, no AC!!!||And the food is even worse and veeeery cheap.||We complain and all we get is helpless answers and some rude and loud disputes.||Some stuff asked us to leave and go look for better place...||||Still no apology from anyone, they are acting like they're right.||The only good thing, some nice stuff did not agree with the situation, but they had nothing to do, their manager is the worst!!! ||||Do not book here, I definitely do not...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!!! Unfortunately, my family and I were swayed by the cute entrance and charm of the actual building. Do not let it trick you! This place is a disgusting flea motel, that locals use as a hook up spot. We were checked into a dirty room, and the front desk attendant was literally picking up dirty towels from our room as he showed us around. The sea view was incredible so we tried to let it slide, but when we asked for clean sheets, we were told there were no more sheets in the hotel. My husband didn’t accept that answer another front desk attendant went to a room next to ours and pulled more dirty sheets off another bed. Also, please note there is no AC and the suggest you sleep with your windows open. Sounds ok since next to the see but after only 2 hours in our room we were covered in mosquito bites. When we finally gave up and tried to leave we were refused any kind of refund and they made 2 nights off of us. ( I want to mention as well.. we are a Tunisian family who speak the language... so just imagine a foreign tourist.) I also, almost got robbed by a local scouting out the place in the midst of the maze of hallways. I backed myself into a corner and held my own so he decided it wasn’t worth it and ran off. Please spend an extra 50 dinars and stay...
Read moreOn arrival our room wasnot suitable, so we were offered an upgrade which we had paid for already. However the receptionist still tried to charge us £40 until we showed her evidence. The upgraded room was not ready so we had to wait two hours. || The room itself was OK apart from the shower didn't reach the plastic holder and the grab handle was loose. || We stayed bed &breakfast, which was a joke as breakfast consisted of hard boiled eggs, cheese triangles, limp salad, bread & cake. The equipment used to dispense coffee milk and hot water was never cleaned, as one guest poured water into her cup and had a dark gritty substance in the bottom. If anything ran out it took forever to get it replaced, the staff were useless. || The pool was ok, but the showers didn't work, and the toilets were disgusting. || There is no entertainment and the food served is just about bearable and pricey compared to the towns many restaurants. || In conclusion, our stay was disappointing, and if it hadn't been for Raja behind the bar, and Rashid in the beach restaurant we wouldhhave been suicidal. || We will not be going back to the Dar hayat ever again, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to...
