TERRIBLE SERVICE AND RESTAURANT COMMITS CREDIT CARD FRAUD!

We went to the restaurant twice, first just me and my (Tunisian) boyfriend and things were fine, but then came back with my mum and they really tried to rip us off! (probably because we were tourists) First they claimed that all the cheaper wines on the menu were suddenly not available and they wanted to sell us the 90 dinar (30 euro) bottle! Service was also incredibly slow. Later I paid for dinner by credit card. DO NOT PAY BY CARD IN THIS RESTAURANT, THEY CHARGE THE FOOD TWICE!! THIS IS FRAUD! They charged it once straight away and then they waited for a month to charge it a second time! This is exactly what people do who don't want you to notice a second charge on your account (especially as the conversion rate to euro changed slightly, so the amount changed). I emailed them - no response!! My boyfriend called them and they pretended that this was an accident (I have never experienced this is my life and an accidental second charge would appear on the card straight away!). He told them that I need a response to my email to get the money refunded. They pretended like they were going to answer but then just didn't! We will never go there again and I will warn everyone about...

We had reserved a table on Friday for 9:30 p.m. Because of the traffic and congestion we arrived late. When we got there a man at the door told us (we thought it was the manager but after we asked in the restaurant what position this man held we were told he only looks after the guests) it was too late the kitchen was already closed. I then argued with the man that I had also worked in the catering industry abroad (he probably thought as a waitress because of my respect for waiters but he didn't know that I was the manager) and in cases like this you at least wait a bit or call in. The man then just left me standing there without answering his behavior was very rude. My husband went into the restaurant anyway and asked again if what the man had said was correct and if we could leave. My husband was then told no for God's sake we just have to wait a bit until they have prepared our table and voila, after 10 to 15 minutes we got our table. In retrospect, I observed that this gentleman simply gave tables to people he knew and left those with reservations standing. Just visited because our bolt driver with the plat number 170 saw that the original restaurant was closed and brought us here without consulting our opinion.

Food was blend and tasteless, did not finish more than half of my couscous with octopus because it is just unappetizing. The sympathie whatever plate with grilled fish, squid and cuttlefish is also surprisingly blend. Cannot believe seafood in Tunisia can be this bad.

Finally, service is really just not up-to standard considering the price. When I got asked if the food was nice even though more than half of my plate is not gone, I honestly told them that the food was blend and bad, they offered us 2 cups of mint tea which I absolutely despised. They should ask what drinks we would like instead.

Then another waiter came and asked us again if the food was nice. I told him the same thing and he ignored me and proceeded to ask my friend what she thought even though I haven't finished my sentence!!!

Please avoid this driver and this restaurant. A very disappointing...
