4 star for food but really 2 dtar for toilets. So a three overall. My wife, daughter and I visited here for lunch as a recommendation from our hotel. There is 2 of these restaurants, 1 on the main road and 1 rpund the side. We were set up a table as both were jammed with locals, a good sign. The food took a while to arrive but was fantastic. Wife and daughter had couscous 1 with Lamb and 1 with Lamb, chicken and a couple of sausages. We had a basket of bread oh and some on the house soup while we waited for the mains. The bowls were piled high. I had a sea food plate with garlic sauce. Very tssty. The wsiter only spoke Arabic and French but we were understood. There no alcohol so I had a 0% beer and the ladies fanta. Inside the place is massive however, what really let it down was the 2 toilets. 1 male & 1 female. The flusher was broke and the floor satirayed in... Who knows. No paper or toilet roll!!. Pretty disgusting. If the staff use the same toilets. I hope they wash their hands. Good food and service, ...
Read moreWe visited here this evening as the restaurant was highly recommended and we weren't disappointed by the food. The portion size was huge. The waiter recommended we share the fish couscous. We asked if it was spicy and he confirmed it was but would ask the chef to remove the spice. He returned shortly afterwards and confirmed "no spice". We were given salad, bread rolls, soup and dips to start with and our couscous arrived shortly afterwards and when we saw it we were delighted we went with the waiters recommendation. Unfortunately, there was still a slight degree of spice in it but it was tolerable and flavoursome. We were somewhat disappointed that there was no alcohol on sale. There were quite a few flies which was off putting as they kept landing on the food however given the weather this cant really be helped. Overall it was a nice experience and we enjoyed it. Staff very pleasant and prompt service. Would...

Petit Pêcheur was recommended by our hotel but the bill turned out to be extortionate at DT 176 for two people plus children (who shared some ravioli) with no drinks at all. The food was good but the trick they played was to invite us around the back to choose from the fresh catch then they charged DT 70 for the starter and DT 45 for the main course my wife chose! The most expensive fish for main course on the menu was DT 40.
There were many Tunisian customers and the waiter appeared embarrassed when we said the amounts he was charging us out loud. No way any of them would have been charged that.
Reported back to the hotel to make sure no more recommendations. Manager of hotel told me even he had been shocked at what he had been charged recently (was not him personally who had...
