We arrived on Friday, at 1 a.m., after flights were delayed. We were met with someone to take us and our bags to our room. The receptionist was lovely.
Got into the room and had a beautiful sea view. But our room was right under the entertainment section, where you could still hear people at 1am! Air con only worked out of one vent, and it was the vent against the door. The room gets extremely hot, and it's very uncomfortable heat to sleep in. We stayed for a week, and every night was worse than the other. It really ruined our time here. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. It's like laying on concrete. 1 pillow per person is awful. We asked for another pillow, but this was declined.
You don't have to be up early for sunbeds as it's a lovely choice of where you want to lay. Staff are excellent. They assisted us with putting up the umbrellas and also getting the padding for the sunbeds.
The food is absolutely disgusting. Rabbit served every day and also fish. We ended up having rolls every day, even for breakfast. I ordered an omelette, and it was still very runny inside after they turned it over. Everything is dry as it stays under the lamp from 7 am to 10 am.
Lunch, again, was bread rolls. It's not a good selection for British people visiting. Lunch is between 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
Dinner, again, bread rolls. Another of flies around for all 3 meals. Not worth the £1000's you pay to stay here, to be honest.
We did go to the Rovers Return into the town for dinner. It's a British pub/restaurant with a British owner who is amazing.
The staff at the hotel are great! Always kept the drinks flowing and very interactive with you.
The beach is gorgeous. But please be mindful of getting into the sea. We met another British couple here who were stung very badly by jellyfish whilst jet-skiing. Even knee deep, there are so many jellyfish.
The weather was beautiful, we came mid-June.
Also, they have staff at the hotel who are very very pushy for you to do quads, jet skiing, parachute (over the sea) ect. Stand your ground if you don't want to do it, they do eventually leave you alone.
It wasn't the best holiday we have ever been on, but we are thankful to be able to explore Tunisia as it is a beautiful place. We wouldn't return back to this hotel but we would return...

Our second time in Tunisia and what a GREAT 3 weeks we had.
Gorgeous hotel, a real little paradise.
Get a warm, feel welcome by Malek. Room is like every good hotel has to offer, noting wrong with that. Quickly freshen up and find a nice spot along the swimming pool. Running for free beds is NOT needed.
Need more quiet surrounding, Wake a bit towards the Sea and find the second pool. Smaller but best spot if you need to reload and unstressed.
Walk a bit more and your fond yourself on the beach where there are also beds enough to lay down on.
Where ever you are the personal is everywhere very friendly. If only all the guests were as friendly like them. Some of them seems to think they own them and treat them like dirt.
By now you had your first meals and had to choose from many many different types of food. The standard very tasty food we all know, but also local cuisine. Watch out some can be very spicy. So much fruits to choose from and if your not have to watch out for some extra kilograms there's a load sweets, you can't enough from.
After the dinner enjoy an view nice drinks or cocktails on the terrace. Where at 21:00 hours the live music starts.
After a great night sleep on your good beds and still feel your muscles from hurdling around your suitcases. Then you for real must make an appointment in the Spa.
From hardly being able to stand up and sit down of the back pain. The magnificent little hand of the masseuse Amel, helped me enjoy my holidays without any back pain.
Most of the times we are happy to go back home after our 3 weeks holidays. Here at #Le_Royal we would have gladly booked another 3 weeks.
All and all this one perfect please to book for your holidays.

Read moreWe stayed in the hotel for 7 nights, all inclusive. ~The hotel has a variety of options to spend your time, you go to several pools, each suitable for different needs. Some are for socialising and enjoying daily activities prepared by the entertainment team, and some are for having some quiet time, swimming or just relaxing. ~The beach is basically connected with the hotel grounds and there are plenty of sunbeds for everyone as well as staff there to help you get settled. However, the beach has a jellyfish problem, you can see them everywhere, but they are easily spotted in the crystal clear water, so it's easy to avoid them. There are also water activities such as jet skies and water surfing available for a reasonable price. ~The food is varied, I've tried something new for almost every meal, many traditional meals to try, as well as basic stuff like pasta and pizza for people who don't like to experiment. ~There is entertainment every night, always starting with an event for children, which is lovely to see, and the entertainers manage to include all the children in it. ~Highlight is definitely the staff, very friendly, always at your service with big smiles and jokes. The service staff speak English well and are easy to communicate with. If you show a bit of gratuity, they will go the extra mile and offer some personalised service once they get to know you and your needs. There is a bar in the hotel, one by the pools and one by the beach, so drinks are available wherever in the resorts you happen to be. ~Rooms cleaned every day, with fresh towels and hygiene products regularly provided.
Highly recommend, there is no reason not to visit this place and enjoy some luxury for a...
