We recently stayed at Nozha Beach & Spa Hotel in Hammamet, Tunisia, and while we enjoyed our time, there were several areas where the hotel fell short, especially compared to Western standards. Overall, I would rate this as a 3-star hotel, rather than a 4-star hotel. Pros: • The beach was stunning (although marred by some inappropriate behaviour from locals). • The entertainment staff, particularly Hamza, Sisi, and the Nicolaus girls, were fun and engaging. • We loved the option to book at different restaurants, which added variety to our stay. Both the Italian and Tunisian restaurants had lovely atmospheres - especially the Italian one with its beautiful decorations. However, the uncomfortable situation with the winking waiter occurred during our dinner at the Tunisian restaurant. • Our room was kept clean and tidy, thanks to an amazing housekeeping lady who was truly a gem. • The pool bar crepes were a highlight of our trip! The person making them was kind, professional, and genuine - every interaction with him was lovely. • Some of the evening entertainment shows were very enjoyable, even if they were a bit corny at times. I even participated in the glass/sword night, which was fun. However, I do feel that some audience members were forced into participating, and it would be better to check if people are comfortable going on stage. Not everyone is, and this can be stressful, especially for those with anxiety. One disappointment was the behavior of Maurice from the entertainment team, who purposefully hit Sisi during the comedy night - a moment that left a bad taste. • We really enjoyed the morning yoga and stretching sessions. Although I couldn’t join in volleyball due to a sprained ankle from before our holiday, it seemed like other guests were having a great time. Cons: • Upon arrival at 7:45 am, we were greeted by a receptionist (slightly bald, wearing glasses) who made the check-in process uncomfortable. He vented about his colleague being late to change shifts, which was unprofessional to share with guests. • During check-in, my partner experienced what felt like sexist treatment from the receptionist. While I was treated politely, he was passive-aggressive and rushed her when she needed assistance filling out forms. This dynamic continued throughout our stay, with some staff behaving inappropriately toward my partner - staring at her, winking, and even flirting. One particularly uncomfortable situation occurred after I had left the pizza section of the buffet, leaving my partner alone. A staff member took this as an opportunity to ask her if she was married to me and requested her WhatsApp and Instagram. This was a highly inappropriate interaction and made her feel uncomfortable. • Both my partner and I came down with a stomach bug, and while we did request a doctor who helped us, he insisted that the cause was the change in weather. While weather can play a role, I strongly believe the main issue was cross-contamination from the food. • There were several issues with the room itself. While it was kept clean by the lovely cleaning lady, the mini-fridge didn’t work initially. When it was replaced, the new fridge didn’t fit in the designated spot and was awkwardly placed under the TV near the bed, cluttering the room. The water pressure in the bathroom was very low, and the lever for the sink plug was broken, so water wouldn’t drain. We had to remove the plug manually to keep the sink from filling up. • Some staff members, especially younger ones, seemed disingenuous and appeared to be fishing for tips. On the other hand, the cleaning staff and one specific waiter were warm and authentic. • While we did manage to have a pleasant stay despite these issues, I would only consider returning if certain staff members either improved their manners or were replaced. This hotel has potential, but professionalism, respect, and hygiene need serious attention.

Overall impression: I conditionally recommend this hotel. This is my third vacation in Tunisia, the first in North Hammamet, and unfortunately, not as good as previous two ones. A detailed review follows. Hotel overview and location: The hotel is located in North Hammamet, between Hammamet center (6km) and nearby Nabeul city (7km) in a touristic area. Hotel has its own beach, two pools and couple of bars (pool bar, beach bar etc.). Building has 3 floors in total, built like a horseshoe, and looks like Tunisian resorts with the similar category (4 star). The beach is made of exceptionally fine sand, it has its own umbrellas and sunbeds that are free of charge. The sea was clean most of the time of our stay. During visit in September 2022, only in two out of 14 days he had to deal with algae and sea plants, but luckily, there were no jellyfish which may be common in this part of the year. In the vicinity of the hotel there are several small markets where you can buy souvenirs, drinking water and basic groceries. There are also a couple of cafes in the area, but nearby pharmacy is 2 km away, located on the main road, so take this into account if you will need any medications. Pedestrian area which connects all the resorts is beautiful with fig trees and palms, but sadly, a bit neglected due to the fact that only couple out of dozen resorts in the area are working. On the other side, you can freely jog there, even on the street, because traffic is almost non-existent (only taxies, rare buses and couple of cars may be seen during the day). From 9 PM to midnight, occasionally, loud music comes from the neighboring hotel, which is the same every night - ranging from unknown, repeated local hits songs, to 80’s vibes. Room / accomodation: The room we were accommodated was good and large enough for the two persons. The beds were okay, pillows, however, could be much better. The room was clean. There was a big mirror with small table in the room, two night-tables and one small round table with the small armchair in the corner. Curtains were solid and well preserved. The air conditioner works but does not cool enough, which can be a problem if the outside temperature is high. The room also has a 32" LCD TV we didn’t use and no mini-bar. He asked intentionally "garden view" accommodation, facing hotel entrance and nearby hill in the distance, to avoid bright sunlight during the day and to preserve privacy from guests on the pool / sea view. All rooms have terrace / balconies with small plastic table and two plastic garden chairs. Hygiene was good, rooms were cleaned on a daily basis with towels changed also on a daily basis. Food And now the bad part – I know that tastes are different, but food in the hotel destroyed our pleasant experience with the other segments. It was not about variety, its all about hygiene and the fact that meet was in most cases insufficiently heat treated! First time for a (maybe) 10 years, we had a stomach issues! The very last day, a clerk who was engaged on the entrance of the restaurant, was seen on the grill, turning meat parts with his own hands, unprotected with the gloves at least … and finally, not fully prepared, dispose them in the place from where guests took them. I would give a negative rating for cleanliness in the restaurant if I could! Finally, staff is generally nice, Tunisia is nice, sea is beautiful, beside food we really don’t have any issues with hotel in general. Hopefully, this will be resolved so the next groups will enjoy fully with proper meals. Pros: beach, rooms Cons: food

We stayed at Nozha Beach Hammamet for 7 nights (8th–15th August) and had a fantastic experience. Honestly, I’m a very picky person – I’ve even stayed at 5-star resorts in Lara Beach, Antalya, and wasn’t impressed – so I didn’t expect much from this 4-star hotel. But I was pleasantly surprised. We arrived late at night, tired and hungry, and were happy to find that the hotel provides light snacks in the late evening for all guests arriving late – a thoughtful touch. At first, I wasn’t fully satisfied with the room and bathroom cleanliness, but the very next morning my wife spoke to the room service lady and she made sure everything was spotless. From then on, we were more than happy. The service really stood out. At breakfast and dinner, Fares the waiter looked after us every single day. At lunch, we always enjoyed the beach restaurant where Adam, Ayhan, and the manager Karim provided excellent service. In the afternoons (3–6pm), my wife and son loved the waffles and crêpes made fresh by three lovely ladies at the pool bar. The entertainment team deserves a special mention – they kept us engaged every evening. Zizou was everyone’s favourite; his energy is unmatched and my 7-year-old son became a big fan of his. Even my 1½-year-old daughter joined in every night, happily dancing along to the Baby Shark songs – it was wonderful to see the whole family entertained. Every other day, I also used the gym where Med Ali pushed me hard enough to burn some serious calories – much appreciated! Overall, I think the staff work very hard considering the number of guests, and they did a brilliant job. I’m usually tough to please, but they won me over. One small point of feedback: at breakfast, pork was on the menu. As a Muslim, I would prefer if hotels in Muslim countries avoided this, but I understand the hotel is catering for all guests. There were still plenty of halal options and, of course, more than enough drinks available for those who wanted them. The beach is private and belongs to the hotel, which was perfect for relaxing. Some of the water activities on the beach are run by independent operators outside of the hotel, but it added variety and gave us more options to enjoy. Inside the hotel, there was always enough space despite being busy, so it never felt overcrowded. Outside the hotel there wasn’t much to do, but honestly I enjoyed that – it meant we stayed in and made the most of the resort. Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday, and I actually wish we had booked for longer. We’ll definitely return to Nozha Beach Hammamet – highly recommended for families, relaxation, and great hospitality.

Ok so before I give my honest opinion, ill mention now that I had a decent choice in hotels in tunisia and we chose this one due to the mass amounts of positive comments....but....||Honestly I just dont know if it was just a curse or the previous reviewers were under the influence.||On arriving at the hotel it was pretty straight forward, usual wait whilst they check the arrivals in, we eventually got our room which we was told its one of the best and worth the wait but im sorry, this room was not even in the near catagory! Nice and clean yes but Very tatty - I wasnt expecting a top grade immaculate room but if people are going to review and stress that the hotel shpuld be a 5* so many times then it definitely fell way down the peck. Tatty bathroom, tiny width bathtub that made it difficult to move around when washing without banging the glass all the time, ill add im not over weight before the snipers come out!|The decor needs seriously sorting, marks all over the walls that have had filler piled over and over. Beds are solid but I dont mind a solid mattress as its good for the back. Overall it was clean but just alot tatty than I expected for what peeps are crying out is 5* material!!!||Reception staff seemed friendly enough all by a couple who seemed like they wanted to avoid you, lobby bar staff were super friendly. Drinks are not the best in my opinion, cheap labels and harsh spirits make the cocktails awful but each to their own. Beer seemed to be hit and miss depending which bar you chose.||The grounds though are lovely, well maintained and really does attract you soon as you walk out to the pool area.||Beach is nice and clean, plenty of beds down there but poolside is full of the sad people who think they have to claim beds at the crack of dawn. In fact there was a crowd out at 4am dishing out towels on the beds which just makes me cringe!!||Buffet resturant....well I wont hold back on this one because its one of the important parts of your holiday. Ive read so many times that the food is excellent but nowhere near what it should be, it wasnt all bad but not good either. There is alot of the other 'type' of people that are just so rude and look down at you like your below them, cutting you up, pushing in and trying to bully their way around but didnt flow with me and I think that upset a few people whilst my stay. Im happy to let you through a door, give you the tools to 'scoop' your dinner but learn some manners, a thank you doesnt go a miss so I decided if thats how the theme seemed to flow in there it was every man for themselves.|Food was shocking in my opinion, never had hot food, always warm or near cold, always a mish mash and some did look awful.|Waiters were not friendly as previously described by others, like you was putting them out by asking for a set of cutlery or even a drink that only turned up once during our stay. I always tried to make conversation and shown a smile on my face but no, still ignorant.||The A la carte was not nice at all. Food rushed, chewy steak and poorly cooked and we wasn't the onkt ones complaining. We booked them all but after our first one we abandoned the rest and went out for food the rest of the holiday across the road which I have to add was amazing, really did bring the mood back up with decent meals and nice wine/cocktails.||Those who have been here and sang the praise of the animation team must have been lucky. There was probably one that was ok with us, the rest just seemed to avoid me especially. Im not unapproachable, spoke to plenty of the crowds, made friends with some nice couples and people but maybe the way I come across being a lad who trains and have quite a few tattoos, maybe I seemed to them that I was imtimidating...God knows, I made the effort yet the response I got was minimal and it was like they didnt want to talk, just stare and make comments with their collegues.|The entertainment was rubbish, sorry but thats just my opinion. Effort was there but the actual shows were poor, didnt watch a full one as it was just boring.||Take my review how you feel but im just being honest and from all the reviews raving about how special this place is well I dont agree. Could be so much better but seems you have to pay/tip to get anywhere with staff especially, such a shame.||No way should this be a 5, its barely a 4, id put it at a 3!||For me the most important when staying at a hotel is the service and the cleanliness and both fell way below my expectations especially with all these over rated reviews and before I have the fan base screaming at me, each to their own. I dont expect the world regardless if it was cheap, it would just have been nice to have decent food that was hot, banter with all staff and decent alcohol. So many were ill from the vodka when we was there, people with stomach complaints.||One thing I would like to mention is the morning cleaners, the lady who cleaned our block was one of the friendliest and polite ive come across, worked so hard and always had time for a little chat. Just beware they start early and the top floor where they have their service room can be quite noisy from the slamming of the loud squeeking door but it is what it is.||Would I stay here again...no, honestly not worthy of the 'should be 5' status - and yes im fully aware its a 4* but even for a 4* it fell way below the standard im afraid.||Just bite your lip as this hotel was full of rude crowds from all over and there are types that need to realise they're not above you and should learn some serious manners.||Grounds are nice outside and clean, lobby is nice too. Rooms are below standard and most of the service was below the standard.|Shout, scream and moan all you want - this is my opinion and id rather go to a lower star with better service and...

DO NOT COME TO NOZHA BEACH HOTEL!!! This is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed at.

We called the day before our booking to check if our reservations were okay and if there was food available as we were arriving just past midnight. They confirmed everything and told us there will be food available on arrival. When we arrived, they said that none of our rooms were reserved, and said that we don’t have a booking, until we pulled out our printed confirmation which then made him tell us that people from England book the hotel and then get a refund, so that’s why he haven’t got our reservations. This is not our problem but a problem that should be taken up with booking.com. There was also no food upon arrival as promised. There was some deli meats and cheeses that were covered in flies and were clearly left out from a lot earlier. Then one of the kitchen servers told us he would get us some food and asked what we would want. He then disappeared and never came back with food. Another server told us there was no food coming. They told us that they can lend us rooms which we would have to change as there are other people with bookings, which again, is not our problem. We were left with our bags, unsure of where our rooms were. We were going up and down trying to find our rooms and no one helped us when we constantly asked. Instead, they were very aggressive and rude. Once we got into our rooms, we saw it was DISGUSTING. There was blood remaining on the sheets, hair under the pillows and sheets, hair all in the bath along with brown stuff and bodily fluids in the bath and over the toilet too. We were given keys to other rooms but when we entered, there were other people in those rooms. So the safety is very bad. We managed to get our rooms changed but they weren’t much better. The next day, we asked for towels and got told we have to reuse our towels or pay for more as there are other guests that need towels. Once again this is not our problem as they are a hotel so they should accommodate to all guests. During eating times, the kitchen waiters were incredibly rude. When we’d ask for knives and forks they would be very aggressive and shout at us, telling us they’ve got too much to do already. I sprained my foot during an excursions, so I asked for some first aid and an ice pack. They were very rude and kept passing me on to another staff member when they could see I was in a lot of pain. We also booked the spa for hamam, and we were told that there are only females so we were able to take off our clothes. As we were entering, we saw a man who was a guest and he saw us naked. The staff did not apologise and instead dismissed us. We felt very very uncomfortable. When we brought the issue up later. The spa receptionist said we were lying and instead gave us the man’s number, even though it wasn’t his fault as he was also a guest. I can understand things may go wrong, but there was absolutely no accountability, no apologies and they blame everything on us and the rest of the guests. The general manager bribed us for a free item at the boutique when we said we’re going to write a bad review. He then told us he’s cancelling everything free when I said I’m still going to write a bad review. He wouldn’t address any of us women when we tried to explain our issues, and only wanted to speak to our brother as he said we are talking too much. He did not apologise when we asked him to but instead blamed everything on us and said we were lying about everything.

We spoke to a lot of other guests who had the same issues and some with worse issues. Do not waste your money on this horrible hotel.

This was the worst holiday ever because of this resort. Constant problems, rudeness, and stress the entire stay.

I’ve just seen the reply from Temimi, the general manager. It’s a real shame that you have lied in your response to my review. Thankfully, I voice recorded our encounter and you clearly stated “if you write a bad review, I’m going to cancel everything.” We also have picture and video evidence of our stay here...

Just come back after two weeks inclusive. Flights ✈️ coaches 🚌 by tui, that takes 60mins from airport to this average hotel. On arrival you get greetings with a mocktail drink (don't take your eyes off) before you finish, they take them away!! this happened throughout the holiday from drinks too food and even towels or toys by the pool. NO LOCAL BRAND DRINKS!!!! BUY DRINK AT AIRPORT! ALCOHOL/SOFT DRINKS: whisky is ok to drink, vodka was not the best!...wasn't a choice of cocktails to be fair either, Other than sunrise and sex on the beach...but they tasted awful! 😖. Bar tenders are not shy on the measurements! ASK FOR A SEPARATE CUP OF COLA OR SPRITE TO GO WITH IT! We didn't like the Orange fanta, it isn't the best. We are from the UK! Juice dispenser/not slush puppy 🤣 pineapple orange water melon all watered down! FOOD: BREAKFAST- omelette- dont be scared to choose what u want in them! Chef let the review down on service . He definitely lets the team down and doesn't belongin that hotel! Also fried egg or boiled eggs, pancakes, wholewheat and white buns, ham, cheese is what we had all through-out our two weeks of stay. BREAD IS SWEET 🤢. TOAST MACHINE TOOK 15MINS TO TOAST! Ridiculous! CHANGE THE GRILL 😡 Our son is autistic and we had to bring our own bread from the UK 🇬🇧 the bartender was lovely to freeze it, so we could take what we wanted out each morning. CEREAL/YOGURT -had no flavour! Salad-washed by bottle water stale baguettes Squeezed orange juice/ watermelon or water with fruit. SNACKS: stale baguette sandwiches. Ham or cheese salad. Stale Pizza/burnt 🍕 Pancakes/ice cream/ sugar donuts served at the beach beside kids club. No fries or chicken nuggets are served during snacks. I had to see the manager one day to provide us this for my son. LUNCH: soup/fries/beefcasserole/fish/veg/rice/ pasta/Pizza along with salad selection! DINNER: same just added mash potato and grilled chicken. ITALIAN RESTAURANT: booked two days in advance. We went once. Wouldn't go back. food that was served in the restaurant day before or after. NO FRIES WERE OFFERED, had to go into the buffet area for my son and bring back to the Italian restaurant. Only thing that was different was shrimp soup and surprisingly delicious 😋. Not worth the fuss! Waiters were lovely and pleasant compared to the buffet restaurant! HOTEL/ROOM: 1185: room. Earplugs is needed from 8pm 3 singles..was two beds pushed together and a quilt on the top, we used that on the bottom to stop us from slipping in the gap! We got giving an extra quilt which was appreciated! Single bed for our son in same room 🙉 fresh bedding every other day. Balcony had sun from 1pm til 4pm which was perfect when it got too hot for our son. we sunbathed, while he was nice n cool in the room. Too close to entertainment kids music, so make sure to have ear plugs for sleeping 😴 CLEANLINESS...few times from after having a bath/shower I had no choice to clean the floor with a towel. Mirrors and windows had never been cleaned due out our stay in the room! Not everyone is perfect at there Jobs! Mini fridge come in handy along with shower gel and was given to us daily. WANT BOTTLE WATER- take from restaurant everytime you visit. HOTEL CLEANLINESS Staff clean around you even when you eat 🙈 says everything. Hotel is definitely clean. ENTERTAINMENT: Kids club 4+ 10.00am-12.00pm 15.00pm -17.00pm wonderful team. Ask parents permission for ice-creams. Kids could be lactose intolerant! Slides open 10am-12.30pm 2.00 -4.30pm Pool entertainment/exercise daily. Enthusiastic team from trainer to life guards Evening entertainment.... same music/games. Needs a change! Main bar: 7pm relaxing music clashed with kids music. Needs music turned down at stage! Shops and beach just outside of hotel. More shops and bank is 2km walking distance.
