This Hotel has failed in so many ways it's hard to believe its still operating! The Omar Khayam is primarily aimed at local Tunisian & Algerian Clients with Polish and Czech clients making up the rest of the 20%. The location is good & the near by beach and water slides are a great attraction for the family...but thats is it! The Hotel is outdated, the facilities are old and tired, the staff do not even want to be there, and it clearly shows. Be prepared for food hall apocalyptic rush! I have never seen such a failure in Humanity, hundreds of people, actually ZOMBIES, pushing a shoving just to fill their tables with huge amounts of food that they then go onto waste. I watched primarily Tunisian & Algerian families fill their tables with food only to waste 60% of it. This eventually got to us, so i raised the issue with the management only to be told those customers have to pay in the region of 200 euros per person for what i understood to be is a day pass to the resort, therefore the mentality was "I paid of it, i can waste it". With the atrocities happening in Gaza you'd think people would be more enlightened to not waste food and drink, I guess I was wong, even my 7 year old Kids could see this happening and was shocked! Overall I strongly suggest you avoid this Hotel, Tunisia has some some great places to stay, but this isn't one of them! MD (UK)

#HôtelOmarKhayam #HospitalitéTunisienne #ExcellenceEtHumanité 🇬🇧 My stay at Omar Khayam Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I felt the warmth of genuine hospitality embodied by an outstanding individual, Mr. Hatem Ramssane, Commercial General Manager, whose attention to detail and generosity truly reflect the spirit of Tunisian hospitality. The thoughtful gesture of finding a beautifully arranged plate of assorted fruits in my room after dinner was unforgettable. And upon my departure, I was honored with an elegant bouquet of flowers — a parting gift as refined and heartfelt as the welcome itself. Constant smiles, prompt service, and unwavering attention to my comfort from the first moment to the last — this is what defines this remarkable place. My heartfelt thanks to Mr. Hatem Romdhane the DGA, Mr. Omar Ben Abdallah Chef de Réception, and Mr. Walid Chef Restaurant, as well as the entire team for elevating this hotel to the highest standards of excellence. #OmarKhayamHotel #TunisianHospitality #ExcellenceAndHeart

One of the Worst Hotel Experiences I’ve Had I really don’t recommend this place. Here’s why: • The rooms had a strong bad smell, and the shower water overflowed into the rest of the room. • The furniture is old and poorly maintained. • They have a strange policy: the air conditioner only works from 2:30 PM until morning. So if you want to take a nap at 1 PM, good luck—you’ll melt in the heat. • Food was barely acceptable—what you’d expect from a basic 3-star hotel. • You need to show a physical card every single time to enter the restaurant—feels very outdated. • Room access is with metal keys, not cards. • No Wi-Fi anywhere in the hotel, not even in the lobby. • The swimming pool was dirty, with visible boogers and even small feces. It closes at 6:00 PM sharp, and staff rudely kick you out. • “All-inclusive” is just cheap soda, bad coffee, and pancakes with syrup—no chocolate, no variety. I left a day early because I couldn’t tolerate it anymore

Where do I even begin, previously tried to gain contact with the hotel multiple times to find out if they had travel cots available but still didn’t receive any contact, so we arrived to the hotel after a 2hr 13 minute coach journey which we were told it would be 45 minutes max, terrible driver was speeding and had to slam on on a roundabout causing us all to fly forward even my daughter (7months old) which she was left with a bruise at the side of her head, no apology or nothing he knew something was wrong as I shouted and he could hear my daughter cry but when we arrived he had the cheeky to keep asking for a tip. To then I told he would not receive because of his driving. (EasyJet’s driver) (Not the hotels fault but share my experience) we went to the lobby and asked to fill out some forms (I.e address, profession, passport information) and pay holiday tax to stay at the hotel which worked out to be £7.03 for 7 nights pp which we was never made aware off.|||Got to the room to find out they are dusty and smell musty, cot it’s self was dirty as we clean it with antibacterial wipes turned black( pictured).|Light in the bathroom are very dull and needs more, tiles have been destroyed and put back together like a child has done it. ||There is no kettle or mini fridge in the rooms, shower was broken till the 3rd day of our stay, Ants are literally everywhere in the room place you wouldn’t think they could get too. The rooms need a small pan and brush as the floor is always full of sand and crap. In the rooms you can hear everything next door, upstairs, in the corridor and even the entertainment which is really loud ||The hotel was good and okay till the 3rd when the 900 Arab locals over the week (This is what the staff called them) turned up. I have never met so many rude, dirty guests in my life, they walk and barge into you even tho we had a pram with a 7 month old, look you up and down in discuss and literally leave no food for anyone else they stack there plates high and waste so much food plates was placed on the floor, food was everywhere. (Pictured). High chair was very dirty and not cleaned once whilst we were there. The staff honestly did their best to help us but it was a struggle. I think the hotel should let other guests know when they are staying and put a maximum scoop allowance, as this literally ruined the holiday||Food is pretty good until you realise the menu doesn’t change on dinner and tea we got sick of eat the same stuff over and over, also they do not cater for the English which is understandable as we was the only English family in the hotel at the time.||We also seen staff filling up water bottles by the “beach bar” (shed) with the sand wash down, no I don’t think that is drinking water, after this we didn’t want to risk getting ill or having D&V and had to buy our own bottled water. (We went all inclusive)||Kids play area/ park had sharp knives objects in we believe these are thorns (see picture) these made our feet bleed and I am an adult never mind a child that run/crawl,roll around this is definitely not acceptable. Only wanted to take my daughter on the swings and I ended up with pinpricks in my foot.||Power cuts & hot water if you came in around 17:30 to 20:00 you would get luke warm water as the pool closed and everyone was getting ready for tea. Power cuts happened a couple of times as we was getting sorted, not a big problem if we didn’t have our daughter.||Beach is really nice apart from fag butts everywhere even though there is a bin 6foot away from every sun lounge (not the hotels fault but machine to sort this would help) and there is a shaft/tent with paragliding, jet skis, dingy and much more prices are reasonable.||There is a bank/exchange and a shop with the hotel complex so you do not have to leave which is great but I would recommend bring your own currency as you would have to travel out the hotel to a cash machine (5 minutes car journey)||Camel ride guy within the hotel sold us tickets which cost us roughly 30 quid each we got picked up from the hotel to the camels and literally went in a big circle (can still see where we got on the camels) waited an hour on top on hill to look at “views” then back down to have naan bread and spicy sauce as food. I honestly would say it’s not worth over £15 quid max especially when 10 of us did it. Just be careful as he does mix with the truth.||The Entertainment is really REALLY good here honestly can’t fault them at-all even though we was the only English there and the locals wanted nothing to do with us, they tried their best to get us involved as much as possible. No matter what they would always have activities on every 2 hours (water sports, kids club, mini disco) you just can’t fault them, honestly if it wasn’t for the entertainment and the team it would seriously ruin the holiday, This is the only really reason why I would ever visit again.||Staff are very kind and friendly, work very hard.||Overall I’d say this is more like a 2 star on the other hand its sister hotel definitely gets all the money as it was so much more nicer, more staff, cleaner and more Modern. I am only sharing my experience and just to help others know before traveling out and being...

We spent a holiday with friends at this hotel. We definitely do not recommend this facility. Although we managed to find an attractive price offer, there are some things that you should not turn a blind eye to. Cleanliness in the room, in the canteen and toilets does not exist. The pool bar is located right next to the stinking public bathrooms, from which a terrible stench is extracted. I feel sorry for the bartenders who spend their days there. Despite leaving tips in the room, it was never cleaned anyway. Food is a failure, monotonous and tasteless, sometimes with a strange, disturbing taste. Whether we came to the opening of the canteen or later - it was always cold. In the cafeteria, mess, sticky tables, leftover food on the floor and tables, all in all everywhere. Sometimes at lunch there were still those from breakfast. Great chaos in the queues for meals, sometimes even fighting for priority. As for the beach at the hotel, it is wide and sandy, with a gentle descent to the sea but unfortunately littered and could easily be cut. The water in the sea was extremely clean but it could not be perfect here either, because on the shore there is a lot of rubbish, probably thrown by the sea. Lots of flip-flops, bottles, filters, foils, etc. Sunbeds on the beach free of charge, if you succeed you can also put a metarac on them, but you have to hunt them because there are fewer of them than sunbeds. The pool at the hotel is a little too small for such a large number of people who can be in the hotel at the same time. Animations mainly for children, we will not judge because we were a group of adults themselves. Plus for the reception staff - very helpful both during the problems with air conditioning and organizing a taxi to a...
