Pros: Fantastic location, beautiful views, and relatively good prices for the area (which in general serves at much higher prices. Kind service too. Very good mint tea.
Cons: The food was very bland. I'm used to my grandmother's and mother's Tunisian cooking, and this was such a pale imitation of what Tunisian cooking represents. There was no seasoning. Zero. The Couscous had no flavour, the carrots seemed simply boiled and added, the meat was the only redeeming factor and there wasn't much of it unfortunately. The briques were extremely bland too, again no seasoning on anything it was very disappointing for our first Tunisian dinner. I had to spend the evening apologising to my foreign friends, explaining that the food in Tunisia is normally much better than this as they thought it lacked any kind of flavour. The restaurant also has a cat problem which isn't completely their fault but surely something can be done by the staff because they seemed to have given up and let the cats annoy the guests, steal food, and fight next to us.
Overall maybe a 2-3 stars out of 5. Seasoning and a bit more love in the couscous would easily make it a...
Read moreI went to the sandwiches side of the restaurant, we waited 15 minutes for a makloub and we were the only costumers left to serve. There were 3 people working just behind me, yelling to each other and saying bad words and burning stuff. When the makloub was finally ready, the worker told me he didn't have any plates and tried to give me the makloub on a paper bag. The makloub was not cooked enough, the fries were not cooked enough and looked old, and once tasted it, everything was even worse than it looked. When I gave the makloub back, they didn't even listen to my complaints or offer my money back. When I went outside looking for the name of the restaurant, a man from the restaurant came to me and asked me what I was doing and said if I were to put a bad review, he was going to report me to the police. 🤨 He then told me he could give me my money back if I didn't put anything on the internet. This was so far the worst experience I've had in Tunisia in terms of service and quality of the food, before, during and after I sat down. If I could put 0...

If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD. I ordered a Makloub and even though there were three of them in the kitchen and there were no other customers, it took them a long time, and in the end the dough was undercooked, and none of the ingredients had flavour. the fries were also undercooked, yet everything smelled burnt, the guys in the kitchen were constantly shouting, the staff really unpleasant who do not accept any kind of criticism regarding a food that I am paying for. A horrible experience that I don't wish on anyone, in this beautiful city there are many places to eat, I suggest you go to the others, also because they don't seem inclined to change, but only to take advantage of tourists who perhaps don't know a real...
