Holiday Inn Istanbul Sisli — Hotel in Şişli

In one word my worst hotel experience in my whole life. How can some hotels like this can be ranked as 5 star hotel?! How can this hotel be rated 4 in trip advisor? Rate zero is more than this hotel deserved and all comments about this hotel especially about cleanness is definitely wrong and lies. I m actually in the hotel right now. Fortunately I will get the hell out of here after 3 miserable nights. In my whole stay there was almost no room service. When I entered the room I realized that there is noting in the bathroom. No tooth brush, no wash cloth, no tissue, no tooth paste and even no body lotion and when I asked housekeeping to prepare my needs they said the hotel run out body lotion. From the next day I realized that there is almost no housekeeping at all. They didn’t even charge free bottles of water. The second night when I wanted to sleep for a very important business following morning, workers with heavy machines were digging the pedestrian till 1 or 2 o clock in the morning that we couldn’t sleep well. And tonight that i want to sleep to wake up for early morning check out an arab guests in room beside are listening to arabic music with so loud noise that I couldn’t sleep. I asked reception to ask them to turn down the volume but I don’t think the guests cared. The bathroom and room as I said was very very dirty and even after cleaning by housekeeping, the room was still dirty and untidy especially the toilet. I don’t think holiday inn branch could be proud of its sub branch. It couldn’t even be close to anyone expectation. I have never experienced such bad hotel in any country in my whole dam life. My only advise to you. My friends never ever come to this hotel. Every bad comments about this hotel is true. There is almost no sound proofing at all not only from the street but also from neighbor rooms and you could not expect to have any kind of housekeeping at all. I will add some photo at the end from the bathroom and room after cleaning by housekeeping so you can see there is no difference between making your room clean or not. Avoid to come to this hotel...

It was a beautiful experience staying in Holiday, Inn Istanbul. This hotel gave us comfort of a home. There were few observations on the food being ordered for dinner. The food items needs to be bit flexible, for example if you order for some soup in the dinner, it will be not as per your choice but you have to stick to the soup that the hotel served for that night. So here the hotel need to have variety and should accommodate customer orders. The food quality is however good and this is true for the breakfast also...the breakfast served was really good.

The ambience of the hotel starting from the reception to every floor is really good and so is the room. But the bed in my room was not that comfortable and the bed was uneven. There are sometime problems with wifi also inside the room but not always

The reception staffs, the dining staffs, the room service staffs were all really nice and was always with smile and was very friendly.

I would also like to specially appreciate the hotel manager. Sorry that I am unable to remember her name, but she was really sober and was always with smile and was very welcoming too. She helped us a lot by giving advice on local sight seeing and always said that she is there for any kind of help that we need. I truly appreciate her help and appreciate her beautiful smile as well. She was always there, available at the reception desk ensuring comfort stay for guests and was always very attentive.

I would also like to convey my special thanks to my Gym Instructor. She is knowledgeable and offered all kind of help and instructions around exercises. She looked at all and was always very serious when it was exercise. I would really like to have another exercise session with her and to learn from her on special exercises. She showed me some stretches which was really useful for me. I thanks her an appreciate her sincerely and wish that Holiday Inn will promote her and give her special recognition. She is calm, cool and beautiful.

Very disappointing and disgusting experience that I wouldn’t wish anyone to have!

Our flight was delayed, so we arrived a day later and upon arrival got to know that the hotel cancelled the reservation without even trying to contact us. Since we had no idea on what they did, we came with all the luggage to the desk, tired as hell and found that there was no room for us to stay and we have to search for another accommodation last moment…

They were saying that my Cc didn’t go through, but when I called my bank to ask what happened, they couldn’t see a single attempt from this property. Giving me an impression that Hotel lied that the card didn’t go through, or the issue happened with their payment provider since it didn’t get to my bank.

Either way, this is my first impression from Istanbul and IHG in Turkey. Never had such an experience being a Platinum member as well as the employee of this chain.

We had to look for a cab, again, carry the luggage, and go through all of this because the hotel as I mentioned had no room for us.

If you are flying from far, this is definitely not a place to stay! and if you choose so, hopefully you won’t experience what I did.

*side note: next door, there is a building demolition and lots of dust and dirt everywhere. Lobby was quite dusty too. With the amount of employees they had at receptions, and no other guests, someone could’ve dust a bit.

UPDATE Received a blunt AI response without any acknowledgement that my bank never saw the transaction request, neither as why hotel had 0 attempt to contact me having my email, and full IHG information on file, and the hotel is just trying to cover their error. Very nice, love the creativity 👍🏻 Also, mum left her review about Unwelcoming environment (with the same last name) as per her interaction with staff, but hotel is trying to turn it as if the review isn’t for them or something to look better lol We had 2 rooms booked for...
