We recently had the pleasure of dining at Merih Restaurant during our visit to Istanbul, and I can confidently say that it was an extraordinary culinary experience for my entire family. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that made us feel right at home.

The star of the show, without a doubt, was the Iskander kebab. Every bite was a succulent journey of flavors that delighted our taste buds. The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, perfectly seasoned with a medley of aromatic spices. The kebabs were served piping hot, accompanied by fluffy rice and a selection of fresh salads that complemented the main dish beautifully.

3rd day in Istanbul

Went again today and realise they charged extra 10 lira previously.

Looked at menu and the food pricing is actually very expensive compared to other restaurants for local food. Although not sure about portion size.

The coffee is very good, and tea is normal but not oversteeped.

Also ordered kunefe 👍🏻 it is really good and the pricing is ok. 180 lira is reasonable for the good quality. Recommend ⭐️

First day in Istanbul

Stopped for Turkish coffee 80 lira and tea 30 lira.

They accept card which was great.

Found this place due to the good Google review scores. Total disappointment! I have tried many food places in Turkey and this is by far the worst! The only where the food was not tasty, service was poor and there was no atmosphere. I have tried the dish with the pretentious name "favourite of the Osman Emperor", lamb skewers over a salad and rice on the side. Meat and salad were tasteless, the only good thing was the rice. The portion was small, the bread that was brought was cold. People were smoking inside, the waiter and cashier were very formal. Nothing to do with the friendliness everywhere...
