During my quite lengthy stay at Regno hotel (about six weeks in total), I was impressed with overall friendly staff, impeccable tidiniess and prompt service, and the management 's extra efforts at making my experience a pleasant one. I arrived on New Year's Eve and was cordially invited to the cute reception at the hotel restaurant - compliments of the hotel for the regulars. Room cleaning service is great, by the time I finished my breakfast, the place was tidied up, new bedlinens spread almost daily, my personal cups and plates washed and placed neatly. Slippers were left on the shelf daily. Complimentary water bottles, coffee and tea packs on a daily basis, delivered by a polite hotel assistant, who showed up with a lovely picnic basket. Tea and coffee are cordially offered in the lobby for lounging guests. My special thanks to the delightful and sweet receptionist Dilara, who is multilingual (speaks Russian, Turkmen and English), helpful and courteous to the fault. The manager attended to every minor issue and personally took care that my requests were carried out. I left the hotel with a lasting impression of their hospitality and...

On the downside, much of the room was run down with many things broken. It's like it was once a fancy place to stay. Also the location isn't very desirable. It's in between two metro stations so it's kind of a long walk before you get to public transit.
Other negative experiences: The bed for two was just two children's beds (twin beds) pushed together. So, not only was there a crack down the middle, the bed was too short for anyone taller than 1.73 m. There was a sign saying that the water isn't potable, but front desk says it is. I wasn't sure what to make of that since I thought most tap water was fine in Turkey. Wifi is really terrible, but that may be an issue with Turkish telecom more than the hotel, but it was quite bad.
Anyway, these are things that I would expect at a hostel and not gripe about, but for 80usd per night, I expected...

Hotel Staff fully engage in customer needs and freely give information on getting in and around the city. ||The rooms are lovely and enough space to freely move around in. Linen and towels are clean||Breakfast was good, Turkish standards, fairly competitive to other 5* hotels we stayed in our time in Turkey||Strongly Recommend This Hotel! Will stay...
