Another social-media-marketed place. I have been to good quality hotpots in Hangzhou and Shangai and London so wanted to share my experience with my mother by taking her to this newly advertised place. The problems started over the phone when I was making a reservation during which Kaan was strangely rude. After our arrival, I put the online order over the barcode and told the waiter we did complete the order so that he could check. There was no other new customer in the place, and it was less than quarter full. It took quite a while before they realised the order didn't go through, and we quickly ordered again, reminding them that my mother is fasting and the iftar time is fast approaching. They kept us waiting even longer this time, served people who ordered even after us. I had to approach the management to raise this, and the conversation suggested none of my earlier requests were raised properly. This place is managed very poorly, and the waiters are clearly untrained; far from reflecting the Asian hospitality. I also suspected they somehow prioritised certain clientele (non- Turkish). There are several brilliant places for a proper hotpot in Istanbul. The atmosphere is also quite poor; very noisy indoors. Oh the rudeness Kaan did was telling us the restaurant would be extremely busy at the time we were trying to make the reservation and that we had to show up in time or call off we can't make it. The rudeness in articulation clearly suggested lack of proper training as all he needed to do was to tell the booking customer about the restaurant policy (such as "we have this many minutes of gracing period"). It would be a much kinder way of expressing the exact same issues than telling a potential customer off. I also wondered if they're less rude in English simply due to language limits. Yet were quite...
Read moreI was really excited to try hotpot in Istanbul, as it’s one of my favorite meals, and I chose this place based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food wasn’t fresh at all, the service was below average, and it felt overpriced for what was offered.
To make matters worse, while placing my order, the staff actually said, “This is too much,” which left me confused, why would a restaurant discourage a customer from ordering more?
It was a letdown, especially given the high expectations set by the reviews (which now seem questionable). I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because I hope they can improve both the quality and...
Read moreI recently tried a Chinese hot pot for the first time and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the variety of ingredients available to cook in the bubbling broth was exciting. While the broth was bold and flavorful, it did come across a bit strong, especially since I was eating solo. It was unique in a creative way, though, and I loved experimenting with different flavors and textures. Overall, it was a memorable culinary adventure, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to dive into a fun and interactive dining experience!...
