This is the worst hotel in Istanbul that I have been to at the moment, I visit Istanbul 2-3 times a year and this was my worst choice. On the first day after checking into the room, we returned late from a walk and already late at night I went to the shower and found that the shower drain was clogged with long black hair, the entire floor in the bathroom and the walls were covered in long black hair, that is, the room had not been cleaned after the last residents, it was disgusting. I thought that our room would be cleaned the next day, but it was never cleaned the entire time we were there … it turns out that the rooms are cleaned upon request from the residents, perhaps that is why we were moved into an already dirty room from the very beginning.
In addition, in the next room for several nights in a row the neighbors were noisy all night, they talked loudly and laughed until 5 in the morning, as if it was a teenagers’ party, when I wrote about this and about the cleaning of the rooms in the messenger to the hotel administrator, they did not answer me … because before that they corresponded with my husband, and they ignored my messages.
As a result, it was the dirtiest hotel room in my life, absolute disregard for my requests in the messenger, poor internet, poor soundproofing + noisy neighbors. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.
these are just a few photos from the bathroom and these are not my hair because my hair is not long...
Read moreBig, newly yet partially renovated rooms in the greatest area of Istanbul. Istiklal Street is only a 3 minute walk away from the hotel, making it super easy to get around during both day and night. We had booked a 5 nights stay in a different hotel nearby (The Loft) , but because there were some technical issues with it we were upgraded to this one for free. Pros: the room was clean, warm, and had everything you need in it (toiletries, slippers, hair dryer etc). The breakfast was very satisfying with freshly fried eggs every single morning. Because there is no breakfast room and therefore they use their terrace, when the weather is bad the staff is happy to serve breakfast in your room. Last but not least, the service was very good,. Staff members will do everything to make sure you are satisfied and try their best to make your stay enjoyable. Special thanks to Kaan for bringing our breakfast to our room every morning. You are the best. Cons: as mentioned above the rooms were only partially renovated and it was pretty visible. For example the windows were in a very bad condition. The last night we slept there it was pouring rain and the water was literally coming in from the window. Plus, there was a bar at the entrance of the hotel and on weekends it gets really crowded and noisy. The music is way too loud and can be heard very clearly...
Read moreStayed in this hotel for a week, here are some points: Room was very spacious, in a historical building with high ceilings BUT definitely not as nice looking at the ones on the photos (older furniture, night stains …) We had a room in the back of the building and we could hear music at night but it was fine, not too loud or too late into the night Everyone was super friendly and helpful There is no food available for breakfast and lunch is not served on weekdays The location is super nice in a lively neighbourhood but away from the busy streets Be ready for stairs! Internet was a bit on and off but I managed to work remotely without...
