Read moreUnfortunately, our 8 day stay at Popstel Hotel was not as pleasant as we hoped. The first issue was the excessive noise in the room, which was located above a bar where parties lasted at least until 2 AM. Despite being moved to another room on the first floor, the noise was still disruptive, as the windows didn’t insulate well, and the noise from a restaurant/bar across the street was clearly audible. The cleanliness of the room was below expectations. There were sticky marks from cups on the wooden furniture, and the cups themselves were dirty. The towels had mascara and foundation stains, and we found hairs from previous guests on the floor. It was obvious that the room hadn’t been properly cleaned. Additionally, half of the hotel rooms were under renovation, which was much needed, as the parquet floors had holes, the door frames were falling apart, and the windows didn’t seal properly. Next to both of our rooms was an unsecured construction site with no windows. For the first three days of our stay, we had issues with the water, as there was no hot water, and at times, no water at all. This was due to a broken pipe in the area, but we weren’t informed about this upon arrival, which would have been expected. The reception doesn’t operate 24 hours a day, as stated in the hotel’s description. Instead, we had to go to the bar for any information or assistance. Despite these issues, I must mention that the staff was friendly and helpful, doing their best to resolve...
Read moreAt first I was going to rate this one with one star, but my stay turned out to be very pleasant. The room above the bar was a lot more noisy then reviews said, or maybe it’s just me being unlucky cause next two days there was no crazy loudness. But the moment I told about the music to guy at the reception he offered us to change the room. I am very thankful about it. The rest of our stay was quiet as much as it’s possible in this kind of lively neighbourhood, but nothing crazy. There’s no elevator in the building, but for me was not a problem. Rooms and hotel is well designed, red lights in the corridor 🖤
Mattress is super comfy, special thanks for chado tea, went to buy some...
