Golden Street Hotel — Hotel in Beyoğlu

Stopped in this hotel 3 months ago, and really wanted to leave review in Booking, but unfortunately they didn't let me, but I really want to write my review. The location is great, right in the center, just as I wanted. Rooms are new and feels really nice to be there, just wish had a little better isolation, but anyway it feels nice. Most importantly the staff is extra friendly and helpful, one of the guys (I'm sorry I forgot the name), but he did everything to make me comfortable, helped to find taxi, and even helped to get my things around. They have a nice balcony up and in the evening was very interesting to watch the Main Street from there. Anyway, I wish to the owners and workers all the best, and thank you for helping me...

Good location with a nice terrace accessible at all times. However, the budget room we got had significant mold and bugs. The room was questionably cleaned before our arrival and clearly not cleaned during our 4-night stay. The towels were not changed. The AC is very noisy and full of dirt. The breakfast doesn’t offer much. The sound insulation is quite poor, so you can hear both the next door’s conversation and the music from the downstairs club.

Note that the hotel doesn’t have parking (it’s mentioned on Booking, but it’s somewhat misleading). They ask you to park 3-4 blocks down the street. The charge is between 10 and 20 euros depending on unclear circumstances. The people at the parking site don’t speak...

Contratamos este hotel por booking porque la ubicación y las fotos parecían buenas. Hablamos con el hotel para contratar el servicio de taxi desde el aeropuerto. Hasta ahí todo sin problema, alguien vino a recogernos al aeropuerto y cuando estamos de camino puse el Google maps para orientarme. Entonces el taxi paró en un sitio diferente. Le dijimos que este no era el lugar del hotel y dijo :si, este es el hotel en el que se quedan". Le dijimos que no, que nosotros íbamos al hotel golden Street hotel y volvió a decir que esta era la dirección del hotel, entonces alguien abrió las puertas del taxi y sacó nuestras maletas del maletero. Volvimos a insistir que este no era el lugar correcto y solo grito que nos bajemos porque había coches detrás. Un hombre cogió nuestras maletas y las metió en otro hotel y dijo que "la habitación reservada en golden street no está disponible por un problema de electricidad y debemos pasar la noche en el Adamantides Hotel". Le dijimos que eso no es posible, que teníamos una reserva ya pagada y que nadie había avisado de este contratiempo, que no son formas de decirle a un cliente que hay un problema. Esa persona insistía en que solo era una noche y que no había problema, pero obviamente no es nada normal el trato que recibimos y la poca comunicación con respecto al asunto. Todo el rato estaba hablando por teléfono con alguien en turco y solo nos decía que nos quedáramos una noche. Llamamos a booking para solucionar el problema y tratamos de ponernos en contacto con el hotel pero nunca contestaron. Solo fue hasta que booking dio un preaviso que me mandaron un WhatsApp diciendo que hubo un problema en la habitación, pero ya nos dio muchísima desconfianza y buscamos otro lugar donde dormir. Fue todo caótico, irrespetuoso y nunca jamás desearía que alguien pasara el miedo que pasamos nosotros con este hombre que tomó por la fuerza...
